Thank you all for the welcome!

I apologize for the late responses, but I'm just getting acclimated and adapted, making sure I cover all my other places. I'm here though! [cool]

lildevilx, there is no way to turn off the DRL, since it's manufactured to adhere to Canadian light requirements. [wrenchin]

Phreak, send a PM with your dealer code and order number. I can definitely track this for you. :)

Anyone else, feel free to send questions or comments my way.

Hey gii0,

That's completely out of my arena, but you can reach out to our in-vehicle technology specialists; they'll provide more info on current and future software for your vehicle. Check them out at: https://www.facebook.com/FordIVT

Let me know if anything else comes up. [wiggle]

Nikki, Had sent you a couple of PM's asking if the Mountune/Ford Racing warranty approved MP-215 remap and new air box had been rolled out at the Canadian dealership level yet.
Local service managers still seem to have no idea regarding this.
I deal with Shwrwood Ford in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

Hey ZREXER,

I just responded to your PM. [shy] I'm doing some research on the matter so that I can provide you the correct information. I'll be in contact once I have some answers. [:D]

Hey ZREXER,

As a fellow Canadian, with a successfully installed and registered MP215 kit, let me help you out...

First, have you bought the parts yet? I bought mine during a new release sale from Mountune. If not, you can buy it direct from Ford Racing here: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=24351 OR see below for finding your local for Racing Racing Parts Dealership...

My advice on a similar question on another forum was:

"...the dealer that I went to charged for 2 hours and I will never go back there again. I didn't really have much of a choice though as most places around me had no idea what Mountune is. If you can, try shopping around. Don't even mention Mountune, just tell them that you want to install an intake + an ECU re-flash that is supported by Ford Racing and you need it done at a dealership for the warranty. They should know the drill." This will only work if you already have the parts...

Next,

Go to http://www.fordracingparts.com/ and look for a Ford dealership that is also a Ford Racing Dealer. Are you close to Woodbridge Ford Lincoln in Calgary?
Also here is the Mountune/Ford Racing Warranty Announcement: http://www.fordracingparts.com/warranty/Select_Parts_Warranty_Statement_2014.pdf

Finally,

I can PM you Mike Robins' email from Ford Racing. He'll be able to help you out and you will need his info to register the warranty with Ford Racing.

Candidly, the MP215 install was a headache... But it's a sweet package that should satisfy your inner mod bug at least until your comprehensive warranty is up.

Timboslice, thanks for the info.

Sherwood Ford (where I bought my car) is a Ford Racing dealer, so I should be ok there. It just seems the information regarding Mountune/Ford Racing parts for the Fiesta is filtering down to the dealers at a painfully slow pace. I am still 8 weeks away from actually getting my car, so maybe by year end there will be a better awareness at the dealer level.
Definitely the way I will be going for a performance upgrade, expensive compared to the alternatives, but really cheap if you have a major engine failure that probably has nothing to do with this upgrade, but having non approved parts not recognised by Ford would likely cause a battle you would lose with a dealer

Yeah it was a painful process. I had my kit sitting in a box for a few months before I could get it installed...

Try going to the dealership parts counter or Ford Racing Parts counter and asking them to order the part # 2364-215-AA and then arrange a service appointment for installation. They really can't argue with you. It's for sale at their own store!!

I wouldn't count on increased awareness anytime soon. You will need to hold their hand on this one... But maybe with Mountune's release for the Eco Boost Mustang, dealerships will start getting it.
