First WRC, then F1. Fiesta STs conquer the world.
lol well it will not be a 4 cylinder it will be a Turbo v6 and given Fords experience in building powerful Turbo V6’s ala the 20015 GT being the pinnacle. , it should be interesting and a real challenge to Ferrari as well as Mercedes.

Remember that this is a RETURN, as most on here are simply way too young to know just how dominant the Ford DFV V-8 was in F1 (and Indy Car/CART/etc.) with that engine, unless they are students of/zealous fans of, F1 history. [wink] [raceflag]

Back when Fiestas were used as the top level M-Sport/Ford WRC car (before the current {required by the rules to be a hybrid} Puma), they were built off of the BASE model, not the ST.

The next level down R5/Rally 2 cars WERE built off of the STs. [thumb] [raceflag]

So do we think its gonna be based off of the 1.5l 3cylinder architecture..?
It has to be a 1.6 liter and since F1 engines utilize small piston short stroke design it will most likely be a V6 hybrid architecture and turbo charged i.e. much like current configuration.
