Yes, Of course somebody can contact them to see if already working on a FiST one, if they are doing it then no reason for me to do so, I just want to provide parts others are not doing or I can do better for less cost, etc.....:)

It was not too bad. Some of the hose clamps were a pita. The cold pipe comes off first. The pvc and wiring harness stuff. The wiring harness loom/ties is really on there. Remove the throttle body from the intake before pulling it. It requires a long extension, 1/4 drive if you can (one guy under the car, another guy guiding the torx into the screw ). One the TB is off and disconnected, make sure you have a 5/16 ratcheting wretch. There is a bolt, directly behind the alternator that is a real pita without a ratcheting wrench. Besides that, just don't get in a hurry, count of jacking the car off the ground and take pics/videos if you can.

Doing that will make your cleaning job WAY more productive. With the intake off, you can clean the oil out with brake cleaner ( much cheaper ) and way more effectively. And clean the ports/valves in which ever way you see fit.

While the intake is off, it may not hurt your feelings later, if you drilled and tapped it for a vacuum fitting for a real boost gauge or something else in the future that requires a boost input or reading. But that's just an idea.

Gaskets are all O-ring. (Brilliant).

Russ, I'm gonna delete that, but lets just say that not everyone is as open to informing and in some cases teaching and explaining like you are ( and to a lesser extent me ). But I personally become frustrated with the lack of respect. I don't have to share a single thing I know or have experienced, but I do for the benefit of EVERYONE ( I mean, other wise, what do I gain from taking my time and to some degree money to share things like this?). So it really bothers me when people question my motives on other things. Weather I'm right of wrong, I don't think my motives can be questioned, although some people still do, mostly just to get in an E-fight. Which me bringing it up in this thread is just asking for it, so... I'm gonna delete it. Just a little too much "thinking out loud" and wondering why I help EVERYONE, only to endure other people being jerks. Although... I do have to admit it means a lot that a bunch of other members on the forum came to my defense and I didn't even have to post anymore last time. Maybe i just needed a hug this morning,'lol.

Oh I agree some people and the way the act when you try and help are unreal. Going from post to post just to try and make people look bad is sad. Then to call people fools or idiots when they are not even in the same area code of knowledge. All we can hope for is that the positive feed back from helping is worth the time we take to explain and grow our community when the person bitching only has enough tools and knowledge to change there oil. It's Monday hugs for all

I can't remember the torx size ( T30, T35 T40? ). Pretty sure all the bolts are 5/16".
I was actually an assistant for this since it wasn't my car and the owner was capable, I was just lending a hand, observing, and finishing his beer when he wasn't looking.

On and off in 90min with pics and the location was not either of our garages. Not being familiar tool location adds a lot of time.

This is new to me. I just found this last night.
Pre-turbo has always been generally a "bad idea". Water droplets can actually damage the compressor blades over time. But I guess some guys have found a happy medium.

Kind of odd though. I personally would prefer to avoid humidity (moisture in the air). It makes the air heavier. That's why you go the fastest in cold, dry air. So kind of weird to me to purposely inject water before the turbo. In one forum or another, the turbo has to pump that air/water. Only thing i can figure is that it removes so much heat that its worth the added weight to the air.

Either way, that is an awesome idea. Its basically using boost to pump the water into the turbo and using a nozzle to break the water up at the injection point ( like nitrous does to fuel at a wet kit fogger nozzle, only fuel is 50-100psi and nitrous is 900-1200psi ). The water coming out of the nozzle is running at a pressure below what ever your boost is. Then the nozzle necks the pressure down blows the water apart to mist it.

The pre-turbo setup is pretty much nothing compared to what a real water/meth system pumps in.
Are you going to try this set up with the cowl intake when it arrives? Looking at it again I wonder how he keeps the water tank pressurized? Also I wonder if he has any data before and after on this setup? Is this guy on another forum?

I think it uses boost to pressurize the tank.

Russ talked me out of it. The rpm between our tiny turbos and a T-66 is much difference. A water droplet (truck) hitting our compressor wheel (car) and the the water droplets (truck) hitting a big turbo (train) is two different things, lol.

Also 100% humidity in Florida you get free mist in your air. I wonder how much that humidity would help clean the chambers? He did bring up valid points about the carbon holding latent heat. As or engines age this could become more of an issue I reckon.

Regular water injection, ole yea, I'm all for that. Just not "pre-turbo" water injection.
The humidity really effects the car here in Florida,, and not in a good way, so I could see that not working out as well for me. It wasn't hard for me to be steered away.

But post intercooler water/meth injection, yet, its still awesome.
