Fiesta Titanium Auto dimming mirror

On my drive this morning I had an idea to source the Fiesta Titanium auto dimming mirror to replace the rearview mirror to have the functionality of the auto dim. Through the interweb I figured the part # is BU5Z-17700-D.

Couple of question to the community.
1- Does anyone know the wiring for the pins on the mirror? I know it holds a microphone but all I want is to apply power to get the dimming function. Maybe someone with the tech book like rodmoe (not to lean on you )
2- Anyone do this already? Any issues?

I found quite a few online ranging from $50 (wreckers) to $200 (new). I plan on the wrecker route or something in between.

Thank you. That mirror in the link is the kit the Ford sells or Gentek. Which up until this morning was the path I was going but want to save some $$$. So the problem is the pins in the picture below , which is the auto dimming mirror ripped out of the wreck only has pins. Trying to find which pin is which. So instead of >$150 for the mirror I can get it for <$60.

Why not try to get a mirror out of a '11-'13 SES.
I is the correct mirror for the car.
Just get about 6" of the wire with it.
It is easy to connect.

That is what I did.

Parking lot, not a bad idea. :)

I stole mine out of my trade in.

With 3 years to work with, they must be in yards now.

Lol yes they are in yards but most don't bother taking a portion of the harness they just sell the mirror for $50, which brings me back to my question. But since you have your ses mirror what pin is 12 and whar pin is gnd ?

All you need to do is ask and they will give you the pigtails.
I don't have the info with me (at work).
I will get it for you tonight.
You will need 3 connections, power, ground, and reverse power.

Pin #1 Power.
Pin #4 Ground.
Pin #9 Reverse.

Power and ground is in the Map Light Consol.
Reverse power can come from the backup lights.
Run a wire from the mirror across the head liner and down the left "A" pillar.
Run that wire all the way to under the left door sill, you can easily find and connect the wire there.

Thank you. Will now start hunting down a mirror locally before commiting to an ebay one. Will post updates.

Quick update. Could not find any auto dimming mirror from any wrecked Fiesta. On recommendation from one wrecker, I did end up getting a used mirror from a Nissan Maxima not only is it auto dimming it also has homelink for the garage door and was only $50. Picking it up next week or so. Will keep everyone posted.

Get a gentex 453 instead. Can find them cheaper and adds the garage door opener but more importantly does not require the back up switch connection to turn off the mirror when reversing as the Gentex 453 includes a handy on/off button. But if you want a true OEM for a Ford part this would be the way to go.

Necro-bump here, but did anyone ever get this up and running? There's a Titanium with the auto-dimming mirror at the junkyard up the road, figured if it was easy enough I'd head over there with my wire cutters and snag it.
