Under 9mph for LC but to turn off ESC I think you must be completely stopped.
Oh my I'm so silly I misunderstood . I was in the ESC thinking mode. Should not post without morning coffee .. Thanks for not taking my head off. You are correct .

I know the launch control is designed for 0psi launch but dang maybe I need a 1-2psi at launch because my tires here in Florida sun on hot clean asphalt are REALY sticky and my car wont spin on launch control, I can side step the clutch off Launch control and it just hooks real hard then bogs the crap out of the car and falls on its face then has to roll out and build boost to get moving. I even tried to feather the clutch and it still bogged, traction is not my issue its Lack of Boost, hope they do a revised more aggressive launch control either higher RPM or higher boost, because I know if its dry hooking on the streets it will be even worst at the track, so for time being I have to launch old school style!!!

try as soon as you dump clutch get off the Cruise Control button at same time. should resort to normal operations with boost. correct me if im wrong. i think if you hold the button it will remain in LC setting.

I already tried that without success, even tried to let off button a right before I let out of the clutch to let it build rpm but then it just boils the tires and goes no where quick. I love how smooth the launch control is and im a big believer in the system just need to get it to work on my car.. A little wheels spin with forward momentum would be perfect.

Kip2MyLou, remember, while holding down your Cruise Control 'On' button, mash your gas pedal all the way to the floor. Don't just slowly rev to 4k, you've got to mean it! That might help.

If you buy AccessTuner Race software you can choose between no boost launch control and boost launch control. I recall one of the Cobb guys mentioning this.

Perhaps this is what you need, Squirrel.

Thank you iso. that is the next thing I will be purchasing as I need it for other reasons as well.

Oh I'm just waiting to get my next paycheck and I'll be ordering that, for sure! After that current map shift assist change the shifts have been amazing, so I can't imagine how the RMM is going to feel.
Kip2MyLou. what do you mean current map shift assist change? I am utterly confused by the responses in here. Getting ready to purchase the AP and RMM but this launch control issue and now I'm reading about map shift assist? Anyone help out a confused old fart?

It's setup with no boost or very little in first gear so u don't smoke the wheels in first. The boost then hits hard in 2 gear etc...

Have you run on a track yet with it? If not try track first before changing things. Just a idea...

They put links to maps in this thread, a few pages back, as betas; these links have the shift assist turned off. That's what was causing the rev hang a lot of people were having.

Cobb said they will now put that into every map released from here on out. Now I don't know if the maps on their site right now have it, but just download whichever map from a few pages back you desire, and that will do great until they release their next site of maps on their site that include the shift assist disabled.

If you want stock shift assist (no hang) and you want working flat foot shifting, wait for the next release of the OTS tunes. 103 still has incorrect settings for shift assist that causes the hang but FFS and LC do work.

The links they put a few pages back though has the correct settings for the shift assist at least.

. I understand the launch control and how it is done. I take it that this is just for aggresive launchs and must be repeated each time? .
Thanks everyone.I will go digging and I just might learn something

When you shift the car holds the revs for better shifting. But all it does it jerk the car after every shift, especially 1st to 2nd. Greatest thing Cobb has done so far was get rid of it.

Kip, they didn't get rid of it. Apparently the settings were different between the Focus and Fiesta. They had adjusted those settings as if for the Focus but since the variable is used differently on the Fiesta it worked incorrectly.

They have since reset the settings to as stock in the pre release maps shared on the thread about v103 issues.
