Was this from a full boost, WOT, missed, 'money shift' into a lower gear at big speed (mechanical over-rev), or did this occur during just normal, not maximal, street driving?

(THAT MUCH carnage could not have happened just from lugging LSPI!)

I am about to decide to just keep the car and get the same turbo and already have WMI.

I did that once on track in another car, 5 holes in the block, oil fire before I could get it stopped, put it out before the truck got there.

Engines are so cheap and easy to find used I had already planned to have one or two spares around but never bought one, need one now.
