Ceramic brakes

Hard to find much, if any, information on ceramic brake upgrades. Was looking into
Akebono High Performance or possibly Brembo plus new rotors for that necessary aesthetic look.
Tirerack.com and several other sites do not recognize my beloved ST as an option for brake and rotor upgrades.

Does anyone have advice or recommendations for a street performance, low dust, low noise pad?
I would also like to hear any experiences anyone may of had good or bad. Any info would help, just wanna make a good decision here. Thx

Are you referring to just pads, or to the extend of a full ceramic braking system?

I assume just pads...

Whole new system... I suppose the only way they won't fit is if your wheels won't allow them too.

Dan, I'm with ya. I'm ready for pad/rotor changeout. Can't find a thing. There's more for Focus ST. I haven't figured out if they work on FiST.

I also wanna change my pad and rotors for ceramic. Im tired of the massive brake dust covering my wheels and red caliper.

I know, break dust is horrendous on mine especially since I painted my calipers yellow. I know they have them available bc I've seen photos of STs with ceramic brakes.

I will post if I find anything.

Hi Guys,

I'm having a difficult time trying to find Front brake pads for my 2014 Fiesta ST. So Far I had Powerstop z23-1454, Akibono ACT 1454 & now Montune ( 7064-BPF-AI. None of them fit. The Dealership says that the manufacturer of the Motorcraft Pads are behind on their order and is effective worldwide. Could anybody give me a proper part number. Thank you, Rex A. Burlingame, CA.

Can you explain what you mean the mountune RS-R don't fit? Those are made for the FiST. Alternatively you can try www.rockauto.com

When I place them in the caliper, their 4 cm too short in length and not a proper fit. THe Mountune's came in the mail today. They look just like the Powerstop 1454 and the Akibono ACT 1454. I'm going to make an attempt to install them now. I'll let you know the result later tonight.

BIG edit because it seems I can't read tonight. Thanks to Randy@mountune

But I think you may have the rears thinking they are the fronts as the rears are much smaller.

The pad on the left is the new Mountune 7064-BPF-A1. The right is the stock OEM. The clip on the rear of the pad doesn't allow it to even to be inserted in the calipers. The top photo is the back of the stock. I cleaned it off to see the numbers in the back. I'm going to research the numbers and see if I can get a suitable substitute.

looks like the one on the left is regular Fiesta and not the ST. The ST pads are considerably larger than the regular Fiesta.

Randy, is mountune offering performance pads for the non-ST Fiesta? If so, I will let my brother know for his 1.0L that could use some better pads.
