Ok,
I’m an idiot. I tried installing the clip incorrectly. Dorman products have saved me twice this weekend. One for the coolant clip I possibly mangled, and for the battery bolt kit after my positive terminal bolt stretched and snapped. I could not find my de-pin tools or my solder, so I cleaned and taped my exposed connector wires best I could. Got it all back together, and still no cooling fan (yes, with a/c on). Decided at the end of daylight to attempt to replace the fan shroud and motor out the bottom of the car. It can and was done (drivers side) by removing the air box, and loosing some boost hoses, what a b****. Pics
for gory details. And yes, fing motor to controller wire had a scorched pin.
