Easiest/cheapest way to identify mods on new car?

Heya guys. So my situation is i bought a car early this year. It seems to have had a lot done cosmetically, from mud flaps to a splitter to spoiler fins. But im very new to auto in general let alone a FiST specifically so i really don't know what to look for. I have researched a lot of common FiST mods like catbacks and bigger turbos ect but i still have no idea if the previous owner did anything for performance, including tunes. Is there an easy way to find out what's not stock under the hood so to speak? Things i know for sure that are not stock are the Magnaflow exhaust as that's obviously not the stock double barrel exhaust. Beyond that im lost. Is this something a ford dealership will have to look at to tell?

I hope to learn a lot about what i can do in modifying this car but in order to know what i can do, i need to know what's already been done. Thanks in advance and feel free to offer any other suggestions ect, have a great day!

You can take some good pictures of the engine from above and underneath and show everyone here, that would be a good start

I think the best bet for you would be to find pictures of stock cars and compare or what torqhead suggested. there aren't many hidden mods that the average person would throw in the car, you can find images of most of the stock pieces to compare to yours. As far as the tune, it's almost impossible to tell without something like the Cobb Accessport to check it out, if that didn't come with the car i think there's a 99% chance that it's on the stock tune.

there are smaller things that are harder to see, like the short shifter adapters or rear motor mount. I would suggest that you put eyes on the part you wish to upgrade before you order anything to make sure the previous owner hasn't already done that for you.

Take a pic of under the hood and possibly under the car.

These guys are eagle-eyed. They'll tell you what's up....

LOL don't know why but your wording of eagle eyes made me laugh. OK so here's some shots i took just now, it was really hard to get under the car as it's so low and light was fading. I didn't notice, embarrassingly, just now i have a K&N intake on it 🙄 so here's a shot of the engine. 20190524_201038_HDR.jpg

And here's the rear/underneath of the car as best as i could manage. 20190524_201209_HDR.jpg 20190524_201205_HDR.jpg
And a couple shots of the spoiler and side. Is it me or does it sit lower than stock looks? 20190524_201416_HDR.jpg 20190524_201425_HDR.jpg
And lastly one of the only flaws that buggs me, the sagging front end causes a bit of a bow on the left wheel fender. 20190524_201351_HDR.jpg
Looking forward to all your thoughts and feedback !

Somebody likes yellow! :) The springs look like ST's and the Optima battery is new. Looks like the symposer is still there. I think the shocks are stock -- it would help to have a shot of the front wheel wells.

That doesn't look right. Here's mine for comparison. That's bent. The headlight isn't sitting right, either. Or maybe it's just the light.

Aftermarket drop springs, muffler delete with 3"-4" tip, wing risers, 1552 wheels, aftermarket cold air intake, tinted tailights, "vortex" fins, mudflaps, ST emblem overlays, wing extension, rain guards...

That bumper is not sitting right or the headlight is not installed correctly.

Hope this is good enough, light is gone already. 20190524_210652_HDR.jpg

It's definitely lowered. Those might be mountune springs. They're yellow and are supposed to work with the stock shocks.

D'oh, totally overlooked the wing risers and vortex fins! I would be interested to know whether the vortex fins keep the rear window cleaner

I didn't see this post earlier. So if you look at the engine shot i posted, you can see the screw tabs at the front end of the lights are broken. The screws at the other end are still in good order but the ones closest to the front end are broken, i assume i'd have to get whole new light assemblies to fix that? Im also not sure but i think the bolt holes are stripped where those broken tabs are supposed to fasten. I thought maybe those tabs were supposed to support the front end and maybe that's why it's sagging?

The driver light under clip is resting on bumper instead of clipping into bumper. Front lip might be Mountune can only see edges. There seems to be a tint on the tail lights.

Battery box might have been modified. Seems to be missing the bottom front edge (just replaced mine so I see it)

Need a front lower grill picture to see if there is an intercooler change. An upper grill photo to see if there is a big mouth (doubt it)

I checked the splitter but couldn't find any branding but it's in the shot below if that helps. If i understand you the grill still has the half blocked honeycomb, in my limited knowledge it looks like the front end is stock with an addon splitter bolted to the underneath. Also the rear end shot shows a very different under side, with the vertical pillars. Does that mean the entire rear is aftermarket, likely to fit the muffler, or can the lower section alone be swapped? I appreciate all the info by the way. 20190524_223541_HDR.jpg 20190524_223224_HDR.jpg 20190524_223213_HDR.jpg

Yes Mountune front splitter, rear velossa tech fin diffuser (or diy). Either painted intercooler, weird picture exposure or an upgrade. I think painted upgrade. Front Licence plate bracket was removed. looks to have some carbon fiber vinyl wrap

It might be screwy color being its a phone shot at night, i will get a better shot tomorrow. The front end in general is fairly rough but if i can fix the sag im ok with cosmetic blemishes for now.

My front plate was a transfer from my old car and the holes didnt mach up so i drilled new ones to the side.
