Anyone's knee rest up against the door handle to the car?

What seats do you have. If you have the Recaros the bolstering will prevent that most likely . When I test drove the regular seats, if I was cruising and had my legs at comfortable gap, my knee was hitting on the door. I don't recall if it was the handle. I just thought how it was a bit uncomfortable compared to my other vehicles.

I have the regular seats. I rigged a gel mouse pad to the handle to comfort my boney knee. I'm 6'2 and have to wear combat boots to work. Need some mats that work well and don't hinder the clutch, gas etc

I wish they had a tiny bit of bolstering on the stock seats, as I found the Recaros to be too much for DD, but eliminated that problem. I had rented a Kia hatch for a week and when I got back the first thing I wanted to do was change my order to Recaros because my knee rubbed the whole time. I'm also 6'1-6'2. I'll just have to work on my groin muscles and keep my legs closed. ;-)

I've always liked factory mats. They don't cover as much as say husky or weather tech. I like the all-weather St mats. Nice thick rubber. Just wish it covered the dead pedal since it's carpet.

The door handle? Isnt the door handle at the TOP of the door? Are you talking about the "oh shit" handle by the arm rest?

Yeah I guess that handle on the door. Its cool i rigged it with a gel pad you put in front of a mouse with a few zip ties. works great

6'1, no problems with legs. My left arm wishes the doors armrest was a tad longer, but other than that I am happy.

I did, it was one of the first things I noticed. My knee was starting to hurt, that plastic is hard! (6'4") I swung by the fabric store and pulled out the sewing machine and made a custom felt/valco handle cushion.

Yeah I'm happy with 200 miles on half a tank too lol. Sucks driving it with my combat boots on...

super old thread but I am having this exact same issue and it is driving me nuts. Does anybody have pictures of what they did to make the handle comfortable for your knee/leg to rest against?
