Attempted this a couple of times during work to no avail (only 1 hr lunch break). Broke the back cover plastic clip where the hidden screw was. Now I have to request you guys... How the hell do I take apart the center console to adjust the e-brake?? Coming from Japanese cars, Ford is a lot more complicated than I expected and those goddamn freaking torx screws!!! [:(!]

It used to be 10 minute job on my 88 MR2...

Feedback appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

NOTE: Make sure the parking brake control is fully released.

NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.

Insert a 1.0 mm feeler gauge between the parking brake lever and the brake caliper bracket abutment, on both sides.
General Equipment : Feeler Gauge
Tighten the parking brake cable adjustment nut until movement is observed on one of the parking brake levers.

Remove the feeler gauges.
