I’m surprised nobody said anything about the “secret” diagnostic screen.
Oh yeah I completely forgot about that. I use an Accessport so it's completely useless now but that's a neat little feature.

I realized today that if you don't latch your hood properly the light for open door will turn on on your dash. I thought I was going crazy when I started the car and saw this I opened and closed the 4 doors and hatch 2 times when I realized that I popped the hood for recharging the battery but finally did something else.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has done that. [emoji23]

I'm glad to know that it does that so I'll be less likely to drive around with my hood not all the way latched.

Realized that if you come to a stop with the wipers on and set to the fastest intermittent setting, they slow down automatically until you start moving again. I have not tested this on my '15, only my '17.

My '16 does that, the manual calls it speed-dependent wipers.

Note to all the people that have posted in this tread to say they like the hill assist: You don't know how to drive a car.
I know quite well how to drive a car, but until I moved to California from pancake-flat SE Michigan, I had little experience with hills. I can drive just fine, but the hill assist feature is convenient for me and alleviates some of the three footing I had to do with my 85 F-150 waiting for the light on Halsted in Farmington Hills with a foot-operated parking brake that would have been useless in that application even if it had worked. The first time I got to the crest of Baxter Street in LA and discovered that I wouldn't have to burn my clutch out on the 32% grade was a revelation.

I hated the hill assist at first but now that I have gotten used to it, I love it.

I still have an '02 Focus SVT and honestly don't even notice it doesn't have hill start assist, comes back to me instinctually.

I've owned manuals all my life, including motorcycles, and have driven over 500,000 miles. No one can say I don't know how to drive. ;)

Resurrecting this old thread - the “secret menu” feature is interesting.

In the thread someone mentioned being able to turn off rev matching for upshifts (in case you want to skip gears). How??

“ Found out something today on my 17, it auto matches revs on up shifts, as in if you're doing 40 in 3rd, and push in the clutch, it will drop down to the exact revs required for 4th gear. It only does the next gear so skipping, IE 3-5, doesn't work”

I believe they all do that. I had that disabled on my 17 though. I hate it. It doesn't let me skip gears smoothly
