Hey everyone, Here is my situation.
Not long ago I went abroad from work. I drove my car to the airport. It drove fine, sounded lovely as usual and drive smooth. Anyways I picked it up from the airport car park 5 days later and driving back and to work the next day I started hearing a whiring noise. I was worried but left it to see if it was just due to it being sat for a while. However 2 days later and it got worse. So I took it to a ford garage.
The garage said that the bearing has gone and is causing the noise and that the warrenty would cover it and that I should come back down in 2 days (friday) to get it done.
I left the car with them to get it sorted and after about 30 minutes they phone me up and say "The alloy has a scuff on it which now means that you have to pay for the bearing because ford won't pay out due to shock damage"
they have also told me that my wheel is bucked as well from something else (Dont remember hitting any major pot holes or kurbs)
I am not having to spend ?170 :O to get the bearing replaced as apparently a bearing is ?70 and labour costs the rest :O I dont think I will even be able to take it anywhere else and now I am worried about the buckled wheel as which which would cost another ?170 to replace :O
What do you guys recon I should do and do you know of anyone else with alloys/bearing issues??
Thanks, Jack
