Keep in mind.... We are a full service turbo shop, so you have options. We can clip and rebalance the turbo reasonably cheap. You can get ported manifold and turbine housings without the upgrade ($350+ shipping + refundable core charge), which is what I'm doing right this hour. While I can't make any promises about peak power numbers, I can tell you I made 354ft of torque at 2900~ rpm on E40, cyborg ported manifold/turbine housing, cyborg big inlet, and a bone stock turbocharger. So even if you wanted to keep the "donkey drop kick" tire wasting stock turbo, there is an in-between. I personally ported my manifold and turbine housing without any other mods on a stock turbo and drove it a couple months like that at first. And it was not my best port job by far ( my car was down and I had limited time ). But it def drove better at every rpm at every throttle position. I also ran cobb stg3 91oct OTS tune with nothing but a downpipe and catback ( stock intake and intercooler) without knock with my ported exhaust parts. So while different combo's have not been experienced, and don't come with any promises, you can def pick up power on a stock turbo with ported parts and an inlet ( should also mention, I was running the $100 EFR wastegate actuator ).
