cp-e RMM Review

I have been running the cp-e RMM on my vehicle for about 1000 miles now. The installation was straightforward; it took me about 50 minutes to complete, and I am quite inexperienced when it comes to this type of work. The first thing I noticed when I started the car for the first time was the vibration; between 900-1200 RPM, the vibration was really intense. However, this behavior became significantly more mild after about 500 miles of driving. As far as the overall feel is concerned, the car feels significantly better than it did with the stock mount. Launch is improved, and shifting feels much more solid and stable, especially when you're being aggressive with it. Adds a lot of fun factor to the car. Definitely glad that this is one of the first things I did.

Is the vibration unbearable (like some say), i.e.; does it feel like the whole car is shaking apart, or a cylinder is misfiring, or is it a slight vibe that is more than worth it for the performance benefits??

In other words, does it 'cheapen' the feel of the whole car, or just sort of 'firm it up' some more?

I have this part waiting to go on at delivery (the very first thing I bought for it), and am hoping I did not make a mistake.

Some expect these cars to ride like a Lincoln Town Car, I do NOT, and coming from a stripped, very stiffly (road race) suspended, and poly motor and trans mounted f body, I can take a lot of NVH before it gets to me.

I don't think the vibration is bad at all; in fact, I found it rather entertaining/enjoyable. You will be able to clearly differentiate it from any of the "problem" vibrations that you listed. To put it simply, it makes it feel more like a go-kart. Not necessarily a cheap feeling, just one that you would expect from a vehicle used more often in a performance setting. It will be rather aggressive for some individual's tastes, but honestly I think its pretty cool.

just to jump in on this topic,i installed a cp-e rmm in june of this year.the first 800 miles i had a lot of rattle from the sun roof slider.it is now gone but i still feel vibrations in the steering wheel.not bad, it reminds me of the good old days of v8's lol

My mirrors still go blurry. had it on for about 500 miles now. feels like a race car. (i had a full solid mount/bushing rx7)

This is totally deferring me away from the CP-E mount. Might just go with Mountune as I have the Cobb and it doesn't feel as stiff as I want it.

Over 31k miles on my cp-e mount. The only time it bothers me is when I am starting out very slowly, otherwise I don't notice it.

Isn't the Mountune a softer durometer than the Cobb tho?

Mountune is softer than Cobb, in my opinion.
