So figured it was just easier to ask...
What's the general rule of thumb for colder plugs? 75-100 extra hp go 1 step? Over 100 extra hp go 2 step? Looking to do intercooler, intake, plugs and tune... 1 step colder be ok for that?
Yes 1 step colder is fine. For what it's worth I ran stock plugs on my fully bolted and tuned FoST for 25k and my Balt SS for 30k with no issues. The biggest problem I see with stock plugs is the inconsistent gap which is an easy fix.
It really depends on your driving and what your tuner recommends. The best way is really to pull the plugs and look at them. The only problem with going too cold is the build up of deposits on the plugs.
