I guess I should have said that boost is more linear in most supercharger applications. Typically you don't see max boost at low(er) rpm like a turbo (no donkey kick, which is in itself a byproduct of lag). This is especially true for centrifugal superchargers. Boost increases at or near the same rate as rpm. There are exceptions though, depending on the type of supercharger. I've seen dual supercharger and turbo/supercharger combinations that work on even different principles.
