I have had the v103 program installed all day and believe the power kicks in about 500 RPM or so later and stays on longer.

The flat foot shifting is awesome though! I wasn't brave enough to try launch control.

LC works awesome as well. be nice to make adjustments and not have to hold the ON button but it still work as advertised.

I haven't installed the v103 yet. I'm loving 102 too much. Does 103 still have the torque-iness of 102?

It still feels torquey but starts slightly later and lasts longer. It's less punchy.

Well thats not good. The fun part about this car is how torqey and puchie it is at low rpms....
I think it's more usable. If there's any loss down low, it's negligible. It just feels to me like it starts slightly later and lasts longer (more area under the curve).

And this was hardly scientific testing. I drove the car to my brother's boat and then home. While going from the boat to dinner I had a little race with him. He has a 2010 GTI 2.0T (stock) and I definitely pulled on him a bit up to 90mph.

I really wish Cobb would post dyno plots each time they released a tune version so we can see how the curve changes (if at all).

Power curves on Stage 1 v102 and v103 are identical. Just some feature additions, no real mapping changes.

Weird. The placebo effect at work.

I flashed back to stock for service tomorrow and can definitely tell that the factory program doesn't hold revs between shifts like the Cobb tunes. Any input on that? I'd love the revs to drop quickly like stock and I'll use FFS when warranted otherwise.

I wish I could get an answer to the RPM hold issue I'm only seeing with Cobb tunes, not stock.

In my real world testing there's no delay when stock and a noticeable delay when on tune. I'm trying to figure out a way to record a video so you can see the difference.

Or you could use the AP to datalog the car and provide definitive data :)

Just setup a log list with the bare minimum of APP, CPP, RPM, LOAD, GEAR, and AFR. Make sure the car is warm above 140F as well so the decel fuel cut becomes active. You can use Stage0 for stock comparisons.

Cheers,

I will need to see if there's really no delay with stage 0. So far I have only run stage 1 93 and bone stock. I have no way to do a data log with the AP uninstalled.

My car goes in for transmission service tomorrow. I'll be sure to try those data logs when I get it back.

This is pretty much the only issue I have with the tune, so please don't take this as criticism. I love it but just found it odd every time I uninstalled that the Rev hold was gone when stock but there when tuned.

what rev hold are we talking about here?

my only issue with v103 is that there are not any stage 2 hard parts to order. which is killing my want for the stage 3 parts...

also what is the FFS supposed to do that i will notice?

I'm noticing when accelerating normally and shifting gears the RPMs hold for a bit before dropping on the Cobb Stage 1 tunes. On the stock software from Ford, my RPMs drop as soon as I depress the clutch.

When just driving normally, the delay forces me to shift slower for smoother shifts. Without the delay I can get through the gears quicker as I don't have to wait for the revs to match before engaging the next gear.

FFS is really only used for full WOT acceleration. Essentially you put your foot to the floor on the throttle pedal and shift the gears by only depressing the clutch and selecting another gear. By keeping the throttle plate open you keep the turbo fully spooled and don't have any boost delay between shifts.

It has worked well the three times I used it but I did notice one 3-4 shift where the RPMs didn't hold as much as I expected.

Braden, perhaps this can help you see the delay: http://datazap.me/u/iso100/test-log?log=0&data=1-2-4-7&zoom=0-181

I think he's talking about hanging revs while shifting normally, at least that's what I get out of the posts.
Correct. If I can find a way to mount a camera you can immediately see the difference. On stock the RPMs drop immediately as I depress the clutch. On tune they wait ~.4s or so before dropping.

Thanks. I know what ffs is. Your second response gave me the answer i was looking for.
Is this what is happening under ffs conditions? Only the revs hold before shooting up.
