I have the bespoke stratified tune with fmic accounted for. I've never tried the Cobb stage 2 but it was definitely different from the mp215 tune. Unfortunately due to fuel quality issues I switched back to the mountune bespoke.

What do you mean by 'fuel quality issues'? If your fuel isn't good enough to run a Stratified tune, how is it good enough for the Mountune? Is the Mountune that soft?

They usually are fairly conservative.
I could see their MP215/MR230 tunes being soft because they're canned but the 'bespoke' tunes that I've seen were all pretty aggressive, at least in terms of the amount of knock. I guess I just don't think of the Stratified tunes as 'aggressive'.

Interesting nonetheless.

This may be the wrong place for it, but I'm curious about octane tunes with the Cobb Accessport. I live on the West coast where I can only seem to find 92 octane at the pumps. Does this mean I should use the Stage1 91 octane tune or could I safely run the Stage1 93 octane tune?

Always use the same or lower octane tune as the fuel in your car so use the 91 octane tune.

Oar on stratified never hit - 1 at leat for long. I tried switching stations etc over several tanks of gas. Switching to mountune it hits - 1 quickly an knock counts and corrections are better. It may be just a different tuning strategy but I haven't had time or safe place to do some logs for review by them

Stratified tune here.....the 91 or 93 tunes by them I have been running. I have 93 octane out by me at alot of gas stations. So that's all I've been running is the 93 tune. So far so good....now I just have to log and send a file for a final review.[lovest]

Stratified is the only tuner that I know of that uses OAR as the OEM intended-as a dynamic component in the tune. -1 OAR isn't a requirement of their tune because -1 OAR means you've maxed out your tunes ability to add timing so your fuel is actually stronger than the tune can accommodate. Definitely contact them if you're concerned, though.

Dyn085: agreed. I emailed Alex after the first tank with the tune to get clarification. I just would feel safer to get a review in before switching back full time. The mountune tune seems to peak earlier than stratified which I can feel in my daily drive in LA traffic. I think commonplatapus has some data to back up this. I would do a dyno protune if I could find a place that was convenient

It's hard to decide who to pick for your tunes. I was thinking I was going to go mountune to keep my warranty on my 2016 but I think I may just F it and go with a Access Port and a fmic and get a custom tune. Decisions decisions

Been running Stratified for almost two months now and I am on my third revision. I barely ever negatively correct and the power delivery is nice and smooth. Loving it.

Didn't see this before. The Mountune tune does appear to be more aggressive with the front loading of boost/torque. I feel like it's too aggressive and negatively impacts drivability personally, but that's my feelings on it. Other people may like it just fine.

Yea, I switched to 76 gas and back to stratafied 2 weeks ago and it seem to be happier. I do notice I shift later (3-4k) and revs drop faster between shifts with stratafied, so i'm blipping the gas a bit more when downshifting. On the mountune bespoke (basically stage 2) I would shift around 2-3k and downshift less. I can see using stratafied on a good canyon run or track, but my daily commute I cant really take advantage. I guess I feel like im doing "more" if i shift earlier because i get short sprints before a wall of congestion on my daily drive. I may just switch back to mountune and use stratafied for weekend runs. I never got a chance to take advantage of the free etune from mountune, and i still have a free log review from stratafied. Just doont have the time or place to do runs.

I was using Stratifoed V-1 and now I am using Cobb stage 3 map. Gotta say the Cobb is better for drivability, the upshifts on the strat tune were way to Ubrupt and not smooth. The Cobb has brought the car back to an enjoyable state again. Yeah, sure, you will have more power etc but if the driveabilty of the car takes a dump then.... Anyone care to chime in with V2?

Stratified V2 ....shifting is noticeably smoother than the previous version. I wonder how much better or worse it is with the livernois setup. Anyone who has it feel free to chime in.

Or if anyone went from strat to tune+ or vice versa, just to know what would be the best fit for your personal liking etc
