I took it to Autozone and used their scanner. It found no error codes so I guess this is a false alarm. How do I clear the CEL without taking it to the dealer?

Which light is it? The wrench light or actual MIL lamp/ Chdck engine light? Do you have a Tune also?

same thing happened to me when i started my car and i still don't know how the car was in gear,as i always keep it in neutral and always use the e brake.Anyways,so it stalled and the wrench light came on.The car went into limp mode and ran like shit till i reached home.15 min drive. So turned it off and started it back up after like 10 mins and the it was back to normal. No more light.

Do you have an accessport? If you do ....you can reset that light. Its most likely for a Maitenence reminder to change the oil*

That could be correct, but the owners manual has no such graphic, but they do give you the procedure to reset the change oil reminder. I thought the oil can would be the light to come on, but maybe that only to indicate low oil.
