CEL light on this morning on way to work - P26B7

checked the code thru my access port and it says "P26B7 - Engine Coolant Bypass Valve "C" Control Circuit/Open"

Anyone get this code? Is it something I need to be concerned with immediately? If this will require me to schedule an appointment with my dealer, do I need to reset my AP to the stock tune?

only 3200 miles on it as of this moment. Any thoughts/advice?

Anything that turns on the CEL is considered emissions related.
Therefore it is covered by warranty beyond the normal car warranty.
I realize that you are covered in any case.
I do recommend having it looked at by a dealer to avoid any future complications.

From the Shop Manual.

The coolant bypass solenoid valve is energized and opens when engine coolant reaches (158F) 70C and the engine load is greater than 70% or engine speed is greater than 4,000rpm. When the coolant bypass solenoid valve opens coolant is routed through a coolant between the engine block output and thermostat housing. The opening of this coolant circuit increases the coolant flow rate through the engine block which reduces cooling system pressure and temperature fluctuations in the engine block.

Thanks Dave. So what are the chances they give me problems saying it's due to my modifications (aftermarket fmic, dp, exhaust) then?

That is of course up to your dealer.
However those parts should not effect your cooling system.

You can likely "fix" it by checking the security of the connector on the valve. If it appears secure, then disconnect and reconnect it to ensure the contacts are cleaned off.

If you take it to the dealer, they're going to reset the CEL and send you away. Then you will take it back to them and they will maybe replace the valve this time which will also "fix" the problem because it was actually a poor electrical connection. That is ok, but while working on your car they will fuck up at least 1/2 dozen things that you likely won't notice right away. Their buffoonery will show up later as more problems and you will likely think you have purchased a crappy car when the entire problem is a crappy dealer network with incompetent parts-swapping "technicians".

I'm having the same probalem but don't even know where to start, If you could explain or show where the actual valve connection is that would be great
