It is against the law for your dealer to cancel your warrenty. Your dealer must be able to prove (without a shadow of a doubt) any problem created buy installing an aftermarket part was indeed caused by said part. Same goes if you have work done to your car at a random shop while your car is still covered by warrenty. Your dealer can not cancel your warrenty because you've had work done at another shop. Also, I've read of owners experiencing a CEL simply by upgrading to an aftermarket exhaust.
