It is against the law for your dealer to cancel your warrenty. Your dealer must be able to prove (without a shadow of a doubt) any problem created buy installing an aftermarket part was indeed caused by said part. Same goes if you have work done to your car at a random shop while your car is still covered by warrenty. Your dealer can not cancel your warrenty because you've had work done at another shop. Also, I've read of owners experiencing a CEL simply by upgrading to an aftermarket exhaust.

In addition, your aftermarket dp will not hurt your engine. Your aftermarket dp will only improve the way your car runs. If you're really that concerned about having a problem with your dealer though, have your dealer install your dp.

I understand a dp will not hurt my engine but if my turbo lets say fails, the dealer will blame the dp and my car like others is very young and anything can happen in less than warranty exp Date/miles.

Now the question that remains is, what is everyone going to do when it comes time to pass emissions? I would hate to install and have to uninstall parts every two years.

Had the ST out all day yesterday and today. After installing the defouler and clearing the CEL, everything seems to be working perfectly. No new CELs. Thanks for all the help, everyone!

I won't have an inspection for another 5 years here in MO. Worst case scenario, I'll just put the stock dp back on. I'm sure I can get some local shop to pass me with the aftermarket dp though, so I'm not worried about it.

Back to the original question, I visited CP-e and their work is awesome. Great engineering and fabrication quality.
