I've been perusing these threads to see if anyone has had any major issues that had to be repaired under warranty. My 3yr bumper to bumper expires this coming April but I'll only have about 18,000 miles on the car which worries me a bit because sometimes problems don't hit until higher mileage. Last time I was at Ford I mentioned it and the guy said something that made me think that the extra warranty if bought would be coming from a third party as opposed to Ford--this true? The only real problem I've had is the blower motor freeze-up issue. Oh, another really annoying thing is that the edge of the driver's side recaro on the side you get in is getting beat up--it's like all the 'stuffing' has migrated further down inside the seat and that edge feels 'empty'. Such a bummer but I'm sure they'd just tell me I'm too big for the seat lol. I'm 6'0 200lbs--not that bad! I figure the seat edge is gonna look pretty bad in a few more years--I must brush it every time I get in and out. Anyway, any opinions on whether it would be worth considering buying more warranty? The only mods I've done are CAI and cat-back and my dealership seems pretty mod-friendly anyway.
