He wasn't whining so much as he was just sharing the incident. He made it pretty clear he has had more positive than negative experiences with Ron.

I've had a Cobb rmm for 5+ years without issue but I was looking at the whoosh rmm specifically for the replaceable poly. This incident and Ron's response has served to convince me even more that I should get the whoosh. Thx for sharing OP.

lol I realized I needed to cut back on the carbs when I put the car up on ramps, put on gloves, and scootched under the car to check my exhaust flex joint, burning my belly on the underside of the engine hehe. Trying to get out from under the car in a hurry is, apparently, one of the funniest things my wife has seen in a while.

So a few days ago about I was experiencing a lot of nvh and a massive clunk from low rpms when accelerating in any gear. I just got it back from the dealership (car is still under warranty) and they told me my aftermarket (Whoosh street rmm) was the culprit. I was extremely surprised to say the least. I've bought whoosh motorsports parts in the past and I have always been satisfied until now. The car was purchased new and has just hit 8k miles with only 5k miles on the whoosh rmm. It was torqued to spec and re-checked 2 months ago. Never tracked or really pushed the car super hard either. However, as you can see from the photos…the rmm is toast. Got stuck paying the dealership labor cost to reinstall the factory motor mount. As you could guess, the car feels so much better now even with the stock mount. Just wanted to update anyone who saw my previous post and for any owners/future buyers who have or want a rmm to be aware of this potential issue. I'm not sure if anyone else has had an issue with Whoosh's street rmm but I would be weary. I definitely expect this part to last way longer than it did, especially with how many miles are on the car. Like I said before, I've bought products from Ron before and it's been great, but this one has not. Mine did the exact same thing. Apparently polyurethane and heat don't blend. Purchased a CPE flex that is made out of a hard rubber instead of plastic.

Very easy to make a hard mount with very few bushing failures. Case in point, you won't find pictures of cracked whoosh race mount bushings(black color) as they are 87-89a similar to other "hard" mounts that vibrate your interior
we offer a truly soft and street-able mount that had it's share of bushing failures just like the other mounts you can search up that are on the soft end of the options out there i.e. Mountune and Torque Solution
regardless, we stand by our product and supply replacement "soft" street-able bushings if you have an issue. There have been 500+ customers that run the street whoosh mount per year since offered. If they all looked like the OP's or end up cracked, how on earth could we continue to offer them? I may send out a bushing replacement set every other month. Compared to 500+ sold per year that is a perfectly acceptable failure rate

It performed very well while it lasted. I should have done more research on the soft polyurethane bushings. In hindsight prob should have gotten black.

I used shop class to make aluminum bushings for engine mounts on my v8 swapped fiero back in the day. On a cold day I can still feel my buttcheeks, teeth, and hands buzzing from the vibrations lol.

And Ford balks at covering warranty on a $25k purchase. What in the hell is wrong with this picture. Oh. Where are Nike's made? Bend? Portland? Eugene? Yeah, that's called profit margin. You bet they can do all types of things on a dollar a day in wages....awesome.

uhhhh...trying to remember the circumstances of my Nike response, no doubt political in nature, but cheap part call out probable! My problem with Ford is in trying to brush the criminally-engineered transmission, and a so-called warranty under the rug. Hoping (successfully?) to avoid eating warranty by denying claims. What are some of the first posts on this site about? I'm going with "RMM", rear motor mounts are weak, but should give a clue to a lot of other problems (the other motor mounts!). Just un-needed stress on a weak unit.
