Will it fit/attach with an aftermarket crash bar?
I have the plain TB bar, and what I did is cut the inside bracket off of the stock crash bar, which is how the BA intercooler mounts. It was a quick and easy solution z and also retains the factory mount point for the crash sensors.

How did you mount the inside bracket to the TB crash bar? Do you happen to have any pics of how you installed it? I have the TB crash bar as well. If I can figure out how/if this will fit, I'd like to get one.

Thanks

GOT MINE DONE THESE WEEKEND. THREW OUT ALL THE SLASH SHIELDS UNDER, DIDN'T LIKE THE FIT WITH THE INTERCOOLER. ALSO HAD TO TRIM THE COUPLER TO FIT RIGHT. EVEN THEN I STILL HAD TO LOOSEN THE FACTORY PIPING AND PUSH IT IN MORE TO FIT RIGHT. A GOOD TWO INCHES ON EACH PIPE. PICTURES WILL PROBABLY MAKE MORE SENSE

Is it the camera angle, or does that intercooler hose look pinched at the bend?

I took hours trying to get that thing in too. Had to remove brackets, shave a few areas. When they say its a tight fit, its no joke.
It even took me a good while to get the bumper to fit back properly

How come this is the only time I've heard about fitment problems?
I never had any fitment issues..... it was a tight fit but no Fitment issues. There was a bracket re-design. But that has been in effect for a while now.

I think for the amount of finagling, cutting trimming, and removing pieces, I'll have to pass on this intercooler. Plus, the intercooler piping just looks too bent and distorted for my liking. I still think the best IC available right now is Ron's @whoosh V3 intercooler. I have his V1, and it went in no problems whatsoever, perfect fit. I really want to get my hands on one of his V3's and do some comparing.

Thank you for posting and sharing tho. It's much appreciated.

Did you even Read my install? I thnk you are making a BIG mistake. But then again...what do I know! I just did the DIY install in the Bravoalpha. Do whatever you wanna do... I left a smaller upgraded intercooler due to it being over powered by a BT. This intercooler is an absolute monstrosity and I couldn't be happier...Thanks FiestaDaily/Bravoalpha!

I did read your install, I also read this install. I've also heard conflicting testimonials where some people say it fit great, and then others say they had a hard time, and then I see threads where people have a whole pile of parts left off of there car after the install, or they had to cut and trim. What happens if you cut and trim, and then decide to not use that IC anymore? Now you have a cut up car. There is just not enough consistency in ease on the installs for my taste. I'm glad it works for you, but for me, it's just not what I'm looking for. Thanks tho.

I said it was a tight fit....I still have all my stock parts also if I wanna go back.[hihi]. The only cutting I did was on the hotside pipe hose which is a whoosh upgraded hose to the intercooler elbows. Everything else is still intact. I will say I had to modify more stuff on my Other "Upgraded intercooler" than I did with the Bravoalpha.[drummer]

The CP-E is already overkill for my stock snail uses, so I will not mind 'crying again' IF/when I decide to go to a bigger hair dryer.

Besides, right now I will take too big a loss by selling the (new) CP-E (which I bought very discounted, but still before the BIG price drop), and getting the BA. [wink]

I have done a ton of research on intercoolers a ton. I'm not going to upgrade my turbo so I don't need the bravo, but I have read plenty of reviews. Even the whoosh V1 intercooler people had to trim things. Some say it fits perfect and some people are pissed that it doesn't. If you're going Big turbo auxiliary fuel pushing big power this is definitely the intercooler to have. Stock turbo pointless. Hybrid turbo with no auxiliary fuel not necessary.

The only intercooler that seems to have a 100% agreement on perfect fitment is the mountune.

Every intercooler out there I can find reviews that say they had to trim something or it doesn't fit right every single one except for the mountune.

If mountune had a 20% off sale or some type of discount I would buy one today. would not recommend for a turbo upgrade though it's really designed for a stock turbo.

I agree with you, but with some intercoolers, those reviews are less than that of others. Maybe i got lucky with my V1, who knows. I'm still on stock turbo, Etune and VP101 Pro tuned by Brian Tyson, in the dead of summer, on SoCal track days, the V1 has been just fine (and tbh, at this point, I cant justify spending the money for a V3 because the V1 works pretty darn well). Buuuut.....if some data comes out, where this IC is a big improvement over other IC's for a stock turbo, then I would reconsider it, as long as there is no cutting involved. With all the stuff done to my car (non daily driven track car), the only thing cut so far was the carpet to make room for the roll bar, and the ONLY reason I cut that, was because I have a brand new, OEM, still in the wrapper, replacement carpet sitting in the garage in case I ever decide to return the car to stock. I just dont like cutting up cars.

I fully understand that I have no desire to cut anything on my car.
And that's probably why I will get the mountune intercooler. I research way too much and I'm super anal about how parts fit.
Both the V1 and V3 are out of stock anyway right now.

The piping DOES NOT fit. The piping was pinched. That's why I had to push in rubber hose in to straighten out if that helps make more sense. Would I use it again? 100% it looks cool, full size, and I modify cars. It's what I do. Idgaf about back to stock or pure or whatever. It comes with the territory

Lastly performance wise. I've always been the one on this forum claiming turbo lag that the world seems to ignore. Well let's just say if you have a stock turbo like me with this kit. And say you don't notice it at all, conversation over

This kit is not for the faint of heart. This is for people who want the best bang for their buck, and room to grow. If I had the change with no loss of money I'd do it again

I will admit ...it would be great if there was another hotside hose that came with it so it didn't kink without modifying the hose.
