I got this fiesta in march, noticed at some point that the brake booster (I think) seems to fail occasionally and stopping the car becomes very difficult. The first thing I noticed while investigating this is that this vacuum line appears to have some damage. No idea if it is the cause of the problem but it seemed like the first logical thing to replace.
I had a few questions if anyone knows. There was no mention of this specific part in the service manual though the parts are highlighted in some of the pictures in the break booster section.
Has anyone replaced this before?
This is just an AIR hose from the vacuum to the break booster right?
Can I just pull the existing one off and pop the new on? Does it require any adhesives or just it just pop in?
I attached photos of the part I am referring. Let me know if anyone has any info on replacing this.
