In general, a bigger rear bar on a FWD car will increase the dog leg action in the back, not decrease, because it keeps the two wheels more even with each other, which is also the reason the FiST with it's beam rear, dog-legs stock.

If you care about grip, you want the car to do less of that.

Like I said, I'm not 100% on quite what it is doing but it feels better and less squirrely feeling in the rear. Not sure what aspect of the brace piece is helping so the best I can do is guess; I wasn't sure what it would do exactly when I got it and it did 'something', that's for sure.

I'm coming from a RWD/AWD oriented background and didn't really deal with this sort of rear end in any of my other cars before this, so your guess is as good as mine.

So upgrading my suspension again. I'm looking at doing B8's with swift springs. Any other suggestions?

I've been on H & R coilovers since 2016. The car is lowered and the ride is fairly stiff with stock wheels and tyres. I'm 76 but the harder ride doesn't bother me at all.

I ended up buying b6's with swift springs. Trying to fix this rattling noise before I put them on.
