maybe the pre order price should be extended so we can see the results before spending the money. i would love to buy one to go with my intake i pre ordered. may go with your exhaust as well.
Actually, I am glad you mentioned that. We encountered some delays in production so the pre-sale will be extended a few weeks until they arrive at our warehouse to be inventoried. At this time the Pre-Sale end date will be moved to 5/31. I will keep you all updated if this changes at all.

Thank you Sara. Appreciate the initiative that Mishimoto is taking to be more transparent about this, as well as, showing us how confident Mishimoto is about their R&D. If the data supports what you guys are saying, then please TAKE MY MONEY [biggrin]!

We appreciate you following our progress here on the forums. Apologies that our attempts at sharing our R&D process have not been clear. The results of all of our testing thus far has been posted to share with you all. The posted data that we shared both here on the forums and our product page were actual results from our second round of testing. We understand that while we are confident in our calculations it would make everyone sleep better to see the tube/fin design undergo the same testing that the bar/plate saw in our last round. This is why we plan to test one of our production units when they are completed in 2-3 weeks and will be sure to share the results with you.

Lmao yall are on a whole other level with investigating this intercooler.
Im not saying its bad by any means, ive just never seen so many questions and speculation around this intercooler than any other company that has released one.

You probably wouldn't say that if you had pre-ordered a 2J intercooler.

If I hadn't already paid for a DHM race intercooler, I would be interested in what Mishimoto can do before putting my money down.

After the 2J fiasco I would not purchase before I see the final product and performance results.

I wouldnt have pre ordered a 2J.
One look at it and i know it wouldnt be acceptable for a 250hp goal.

The initial 2J intercooler looked like DHM Jr. that didn't need a replacement crash bar. What they got was quite a bit different.

The fact that the crash bar blocked a large portion of the core is unfortunate but you would think that they wouldn't go to a weird shape unless they were able to fit a much larger core. Assuming could have bit me there.

I doubt it is so bad that it couldn't work at 250 whp (with a hybrid turbo or GT2554).

Got a tracking number and a estimated delivery date but I'm not sure it's been picked up yet from Mishimoto. Thought I was charged for it so I'm sure I will get it soon. I have had a splitter I've been waiting to install for months cause I only wanted to tackle removing the front bumper once.

Received Mishimoto's I/C yesterday. I must say the packaging was impeccable. Each component was individually wrapped in its respective plastic wrap. The workmanship is pretty darn good. Judge for yourself. Here are a few pix for you to enjoy.
