He's a scumbag plain and simple. He got caught and now he's scared of the repercussions of his actions. Everyone I repeat EVERYONE has been "backed into a corner" during their lifetime, but the majority of people aren't going to fuck over numerous people in order to get themselves out of a jam.

WTF is going on. It is so weird that this dude has been in contact with folks and bought things legitimately and is now ripping folks off. I don't understand....[8]
I think he scams to get money to buy things. Criminals with morals.

Oh my, I need to pull out the lawn chair and popcorn for this. I can't wait to see what you will be getting lol.

By creating a "New" fake account to sell his products shows his intent to commit fraud. Actually sending you a fake package and claiming it's what you bought is proof that he actually committed fraud. In this case since it crossed state lines its Mail and Wire Fraud which is a Federal Crime with a penalty of up to 30 years in prison and a fine up to $1,000,000.

He actually did mail me a 118lbs package, I'm excited to see what is inside on Monday. He already told me he didn't send me the actual parts.

another email from him:

"All i can say is that that people will do horrible things when backed into a corner. I let my own stupidity take over and am no different. I'll keep an eye out for everything as well and if paypal gives any issue, ill reach out. thanks for posting for me on the forum. Either way, again, sorry to you and everyone else. "

For me personally, I'll be happy as long as everyone is refunded their money.

See, you're actually the most important key in this I think. Unless other people were mailed random garbage, you actually receiving a very heavy box with the wrong items inside may be the key to law enforcement moving forward with the case.

Of course we ALL have see what you receive.

I am not defending anyone but I don't think much legal action can be taken if the money was sent as a GIFT and then returned.
Butterybunz however, does have a case but as long as restitution is made not much can be done there.
It can always be explained as the wrong box was tagged and shipped.

Agreed, if you commit a crime then you get caught red handed you can't just say sorry and hope it all goes away. Hoping local law enforcement goes after him and he has his day in court and is held fully accountable. Sorry I don't have any sympathy for people like this, maybe a judge will have some and he will get off with community service or something.

Another email

"To those two guys saying let the law deal with it...like i told you... Im refunding you and everyone else, but i cant stop anyone from continuing to pursue any action they may have taken/are taking/or wish to take. Im not begging you or the other guys. Im not saying someone else took the money or blamining anything on anyone but myself. Im being pretty transparent with you , apologizing, owning up to it, and trying to make it right. Believe me, it is not something i intend to ever do again, but how everyone else continues to pursue this matter is their choice. Also, its reams of paper that i sent you."

You may have no recourse with PayPal but you still have recourse under the law. All you have to do is provide evidence that shows the deal was made in bad faith and fraudulent. He posted an item for sale, collected the funds and had no intention of honoring his side of the contract since he had already sold it to someone else. On top of that he knew what content was in the box so you can't say it was a mislabel.

Of course we ALL have see what you receive.

"I know I was speeding, officer, but when I realized that you had caught me I slowed down so there's no need for a ticket because I'll never do it again."
Exactly, it's like somebody going and robbing a bank but then they get caught and they say I'm sorry I'll return the money, please let me go. Don't think it would happen.

That's a lot of fricking paper. Just the right amount to start legal proceedings.

I just want to start with getting my money back--thankfully I didn't gift it. If there's actually remorse that is easy.

VICTIMS: sorry for you guys, I hope you get your money back and that we can all learn something from this about safe Internet shopping.

SCAMMER: mend your ways, come to Jesus, put whatever habit down that has made you do this.

ME: up waaaaay too late after an exhausting day....but I can't put this down, gotta see what happens next.

PAPER: good for printing, art, Christmas gifts to everyone you know. "Hey mom, Merry Christmas! Here's a ream of paper.....I had extra....."

If the paper is usable I'm sure my office can use it. I work for a nonprofit and we always appreciate office supply donations.

We've all gotten into tough situations just like sirsinclair said. That doesn't mean you rip people off, be a jerk off and send them stacks of paper in the mail. If he needed money that badly for "school" he should've gotten students loans. Or dropped out and worked an honest job. Just like the people who sent him the money.

I hope nobody lets this guy go that easy.
