All right it has happened. After much ballyhoo I pulled the trigger on the Vega V1 rear spoiler

You're assuming I meant front toe in. Even so, the rear is connected to the front and keeping the front stable is going to help the rear. I've never heard of anyone having a stability problem in the rear. There was an OP that claimed that his FiST had balance towards oversteer and the general consensus was that his car was broken (or he didn't understand what he was feeling).

Wait util @D1JL finishes his work with a rear diffuser and see what he to say about it - he does a good job with recognizing real vs. placebo performance enhancements.

I’ll raise my hand and be one of those ‘stability issue’ people. I’ve been having issues on track days with high speed corner entry and the rear end being not as planned to the ground as I would like. Everything else is fine, slower corners the car grips great and is predictable.

My thoughts are being fwd and having all the weight up front that the car would benefit in the high speed corners with some rear end downforce to provide better grip to the rear wheels. This would keep it more planted and predictable as speeds increase

I have the Delta styling all carbon rear spoiler, it is adjustable but as far as added down force goes who knows if it really did anything unless you put the car in a wind tunnel. Sure does look cool though if you want to spend the money!

Splitters and diffusers are the way to go, esp. with the FiST's shape. You might try a Gurney flap just to help separate flow. I don't think that there's a engineered rear wing for the FiST. I love Vega's splitters (I've ordered and received a custom one, more to follow), but his wing extension is a drag monster and, without any end plates, I don't see how it's going to create much downforce; all the induced pressure is just going to spill off the sides.

You sure you haven't stiffened the rear end too much or need to stiffen the front a little more?

There is an engineered rear wing for the Mk7 FiST, but it is made to work in conjunction with ALL of the other aero bits/bodywork of that said kit, and not all by itself (the M-Sport WRC 'kit').

Those US based rallyists who have installed the old style R5 wing on their competition FiSTs claim it was done solely to keep the car stable (preventing a severe nose down landing) while cresting hills/'yumps' at speed. ;)

I have a front lip and gurney flap from Brian over at BMSPEC. The car doesn't feel as loose at speed anymore, more predictable is a good way of putting it. You can definitely get the car to move around if you really want it to but it doesn't feel as "on edge" all the time when taking a corner at a fairly high rate of speed. He had a group buy in December but he may have a couple sets left from people that backed out on the group buy.

For reference I'm running BC Coils (5k/3K), 215/40/17 Federal RSR and 2 Point brace, OEM Sway bars. If you're interested in what I paid, shoot me a PM.

I just got a set of used Mountune spoiler extensions. I can't decide if they look good or not. I am thinking of getting them paint matched (they definitely need some work). But I kind of think they look a little too flashy for me.

I’ll take them off your hands lol. They’re soooo hard to find.
@robt712 There is a guy selling mountune extensions and a mountune front splitter on Facebook currently. The extension are glued to the spoiler though, so they come with a spoiler.

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately I do not have Facebook :(
Anyone wants to point them in my direction would be cool.
