Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find an answer. It's time to replace my mounts and I stumbled across a post about using the oem mounts with the powerflex inserts.

Is there a need to purchase new mounts along with the inserts? Can I just swap the inserts for my worn out factory inserts? I don't want to waste money on new oem mounts if it's unnecessary.

Any advice is appreciated! Im going to attempt this repair myself, doesn't seem too crazy...

first, i would avoid running the OE rear motor mount. just get yourself a whoosh rear motor mount street spec... $100 + tax & shipping and you will get less of the motor smacking the firewall under significant torque. this is a very common first modification for FiST owners
