I didn’t have any rub on the 215/45-16 rivals last year but this year getting lots of rubbing up front with 205/50-16 re71r’s. I’d never run the 50 again. I’m on stock suspension. I just picked up a new fist to replace my worn out one so will see if still rubs at next event lol.

Are you going to swap the Koni yellows over to the new one, or didn't you have them on the first one?

I run the 205 50 16 RE71R, and so do all over the other local FiSTs that compete in AutoX. I even daily the wheel/tire set. It is THE tire to run on our cars for HS classing. I havent gotten any rubbing at all, not a bit. I am even considering putting on even more tire, perhaps 225 50 16 or 225 45 16. A small bit of rubbing is acceptable as a "race fitment" and well, if your not rubbing yet that means you can fit at least a little more tire.

But you have me scratching my head as to how you were rubbing with this tire. What were the wheel specs?

Not sure if talking to the koni rub person or me. My wheels are 16x7 42et. I was prob on tired stock struts as mine rubbed so bad it wore though the fender liner some and also wore down the metal tab some. I ended up beating the tab upwards with a hammer and still believe was rubbing there. My friend runs same setup but 43et wheels and rubs bad also. More I think about it the suspension prob saw it’s better days as I ran same spec wheels in past with huge 225/45-16 star specs and it didn’t rub.

Ran both the RE71R in 205/50-16 and now the Direzza ZIII in 225/45-16 with no rubbing on a 42et wheel with Koni Yellows.

I don't have a comment, just questions. I'm just learning. I have a 2016 st and want to put 205 50 16s on it. Its all factory, will it work? No rubbing. Also what are the 43 42 ets mean?

The ET is wheel offset in millimeters. This number is a positive number unless there is a negative sign in front. Factory wheels are 49et. The 205/50-16 should fit even with a factory offset wheel.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping.
