Just got done doing the install on both of these. When I got home the Cobb was waiting for me so I installed that first. 93 map on 93gas running great no spikes/lag. Then 2 hours later got the intake delivered. Put that on with me and my pop, couple things were a bitch but it wasn't to bad. Some cursing and couple of cuts from working in tight spots(can see in pic). Pics for the thread.

Loving it,so much better throttle response with the intake and it just pulls for days. So Awesome, worth every penny! [rockon]

Seeeee?

Just like I told you, you'll hear the turbo and the response with the AP turns the car into a much beastlier little animal.

Where did you run into trouble with the intake? I bet it was wrestling that L-tube off the turbo, wasn't it?

that, and probably installing your heat shield - getting the nut on both sides of the shield is a challenge, but very much worth a very minor snag in an otherwise pretty straightforward install, yeah?

I also see you've got your weatherstrip installed correctly, and it does appear the fatter weatherstrip I recommended to Injen is now a part of the kit too :)

So, how do you feel about the black finish?

Haha damn you were spot on,I did have most trouble getting the stock pipe off turbo, the bolts weren't so bad on the heat shield. I'll tell ya what man the other piece that has to click back onto the intake(not the maf sensor) was so hard to put on,the o-rings were stiff,so I pulled the dipstick put some oil on my fingers and them rubbed it on the connection [wink] and then with enough force it snapped in. Of course when I went to read the directions it said to lube that part up to,ha. Omg the turbo is so loud and noticeable now. The black finish is very nice and just like other Injen products I have bought its of good quality.
Car is a true pocket "rocket" now. [driving] = [hihi]
You guys that have the accesport what gauges do you leave up on the screen, there's so many.

Cobb needs to hurry up and bring out a intake or Injen will be getting my money. Works great man. I think I might go with the wrinkle red to go with the red/black theme of our car.

UPDATE

So after a full day of driving with the Cobb and intake (only got to test them for a quick spin last night) I am very happy with my purchase. First things first,Mod Bargains is a great company,I never ordered from them before so this was my first experience with them. I called around 2pm'ish(east coast) and had a couple of questions which were answered without a problem and in no time my order was placed. By the end of the day I received a couple of emails from them, one stating sale approval and another notifying me my order had shipped along with tracking number. It took 4 days to reach me from California to New Jersey. Packaging was great and everything was top notch.

The car now just rips and I love having access to all these gauges, some people have to pay a lot of money just to get 3 gauges setup on there a-pillar,and this holds 6 with a ton of gauges to choose from, even better. I haven't tried 91map yet,but right now I'm loving the 93 map on 93gas,no hiccups or spikes just boost to 20-20.5 psi and it holds. Eventually I'm gonna try the 91,I'll see how that goes.

One thing I extremely love is how loud that turbo spool blow off is now,it's so damn fun to blow by someone while releasing the boost and then whoooosshhhh!! [biggrin] Fun Times [lovest]

Yours sound anything like this?

Video shot obviously running a Cobb AP V3 (running Stage 0 tune at the moment to conserve fuel - i switch depending on what kind of driving i'm going to do) - coupled with Injen SP Intake System.

Very. The sound the phone picks up outside the car there is a good reflection of actual perceived sound inside the cabin. you and your passengers will DEFINITELY notice it, even with windows up.

Haha I would have to agree with you the intake sounds Sweet and it really pulls so strong. I'm sure it's very similar to my FSWERKS cool flo intake. Have fun with your new mods!

Yea they look like the same exact shape. I just can't believe what kind of tq gains I got with this intake and the Cobb tune.

I just came back from a little sprint to 711 tonight and on this brisk 32degree night my Cobb was showing up to 270-273tq holding 265-268 until I let off or rpm's got higher than 5k. Unbelievable, car was fun stock, but now it's a blast! It's just as quick as the MazdaSpeed3 I had.

I know I was really surprised about the torque too. I knew it was going to sound awesome, I just wasn't expecting the car to pull in every gear like it does, but I freaking love it, Lol!
