^^^You are correct, people of any age nowadays, let alone our age, can drive (or do drive) a manual.

It is a lost art/skill. [:(]

If I remember correctly, I had a Getrag transmission on my 1980 Vauxhall Chevette HS2300. Never had a problem with it all the time I owned the car. Great car with 160hp after tweaking which was a lot in those days! Would have loved the HSR that Pentti and others drove!

They were actually pretty good handling, and quick for their day cars, exclusively available in the UK/Europe back then.

NOTHING like the Chevette we got here, and the HSR rally spec versions were very competitive at the top level for a while. [driving][raceflag]

I have spoken with Ford and even though its a safety issue ( locked gear, no brake, no clutch) and only 34k miles they are offering little to no assistance. So I am looking for another
mechanic to do the bleed and go from there. Then Im going to post a claim with the NHSafety ppl. This model and transmission was a part of a class action law suit last year. Maybe
I will get some reimbursement if i yell loud enough aad long enough.
Actually no the manual was not part of a class action lawsuit that was the Ford dry dual clutch non torque converter Auto that acted like a manual. Including disengaging when at a stop on a hill causing rollback if you did not trigger hill assist which is not the way most automatics act among other things and was not ready for prime time when Ford decided to bring it to market. It’s been said Ford engineers even warned management about it.

Oh and I know about this because I owned a 2013 Focus dual clutch auto.

I agree - no action at all on the manual, that's the point.
