I saw the post on the fiesta page. I would have bought it if you hadn’t.

if it were me, I would check underneath for rust. If it’s solid, I would do the clutch and see how it is and go from there.

Ha yeah the fb page is where I found it. I'll get it up on jackstands next weekend and check the rust condition. You're probably right, if I do the slave and check out the clutch, I'll know if it's worth it to keep. For now, the interior fixes are cheap and easy so I'll take care of them either way.

its not a sunroof car, so it's probably worth saving, assuming the rust isn't terminal. 285k is a lot on a car, and the fact that thing isn't worse would be a sign of hope to me. probably a nice find to either mod or flip.

Ouch. It's likely possible to resleeve, but a 1.6 block from an escape would be a lot less fuss in my opinion. That's really lousy and I'm sorry that happened.

I pulled the piston today. I have no idea how this could have happened, but it's back to the drawing board for a donor motor. View attachment 65046
How much did you pay for this? I’d at least threaten civil litigation to see if you can recoup some money depending on what y’all’s conversation was like.

do you have a wiring diagram? what you're describing sounds like either a fuse blown, or you missed a plug somewhere. actually, now that i'm thinking of it, is there an anti theft on these cars?
