The one in LA was a Focus, but once you learn, you can move on from there

Just getting her to agree to give it a shot is a plus. Her main motivation is a weird one. She has plans to travel to Iceland for a farm stay and to travel (at some point in the next couple of years). Apparently they don't have the same age restrictions for renting cars in Iceland, but (big but), nfortunately for her, we've heard rental car companies ONLY have manual transmissions cars there -- so she's got to learn before she goes. I planned to teach her on the FiST, but if the Ford guys are willing to get through the first painful bit (which they suggest in the registration options), so much the better.
