No throttle closures unless I hit TIP Max boost but I'm keeping it tight. I rarely see throttle closure though.

Ok here is where I'm at currently with E45. I think I'm going to leave it like this for a bit and beat on it and log a bunch to make sure every thing is ok. I could probably run more timing out the top but going to keep it where it is for now.

Really happy with the power gains for a 100% stock Fiesta ST with just E45 and tuning. Pretty darn awesome, especially with the dinky turbo it has.

+35whp / +75wtq peak gains

E45 vs E30

Very impressive numbers. I apologize if I missed it but are you doing your own tuning?

No apologies needed. Yes, I am tuning it myself using COBB Racetuner.
Race tuner, access tuner, samething correct? Other than race tuner is for a shop to use on anyones car, where access tuner is locked to one vin ?

So this is JUST TUNING AND FUEL. On a bone stock fiesta ?

Damn.... That's impressive.

Weight set to 2920?
I have no idea why, but my guess is to add extra load for safety and air resistance when you actually get on the road? Other wise, I'm just curious :)
My car is 2680. Nevermind..... "With driver" weight about right :)

Yup, I put car weight as 2760 and then me the driver. :) Car might be a little lighter than that as the spare, jack and tools are out but either way, the delta between stock tune and after would be the same, since the weight entered is the same.

COBB Accesstuner Race

Just E45 fuel and ECU tuning. Car is 100% stock down to the OEM intake filter except for aftermarket wheels and tires.

Ethanol is awesome. ;)

I agree. I don't have the tune for power like you, but my car LOVES E30 and cobbs stage3 tune. 11.6 AFR on the stock wideband.

Curious to see what kind of day-to-day mileage you get when not putting your foot to it at WOT...

Did you do any part-throttle tuning or just WOT?

How does your cost-per-fillup compare to just 93?

I am very much tuning part throttle, cruise and idle as well.

I will post the MPG differences soon. I like data. :)

Ok here is a small bit of data on MPG. Make sure to look at the DELTA between the numbers and not the numbers themselves since every body drives differently and has different routes with different outside influences. I use the FiST to commute approx 50 miles a day. It's a mix of city and highway and I have fun with the car on occasion. ;)

Last two tanks of 91 octane before switching to Ethanol mix and tuning for it as well.

91 oct - Jul 20, 2014
270 miles - 25.06 mpg

91 oct - Jul 22, 2014
105 miles - 26.24 mpg

------------------

E30 - Jul 27, 2014
236 miles - 24.33 mpg

E45 - Jul 31, 2014
263 miles - 24.44 mpg

So far, if I take the average of the two 91 octane data points and subtract the current E45 data point, it's just a -1.21 MPG difference. Of course I need more E45 data points to really make this valid but it gives us a look.

As you can see, I'm obviously tuning the Ethanol mix for better mileage overall then if I didn't tune with that in mind, hence the E45 having even slightly better MPG than E30. I still think I can get the Ethanol mix tune VERY close to normal gas. The ECU and Ecoboost motor gives me enough control to really make some gains there.
