The Ford Fiesta ST is without a doubt, the coolest and most satisfying mini sports hatch in the automotive industry right now. However, this does not mean that the Fiesta ST does not carry any flaw at all.

Many Fiesta ST owners shared with us that a common issue with the car is its fuel mileage gauge. On papers, the hatch averages about 33mpg but most drivers fail to achieve that average. Heck, they can?t go beyond the 26mpg mark after spending many driving hours with the car.

Apparently, it is not the Fiesta ST that is a fuel sucker. Instead, it is the fuel mileage gauge which gives inaccurate readings. The fix is relatively simple. All drivers have to do is click on the mileage button once and it will reset the readings.

Upon doing so, drivers will be able to see that they are achieving more than 30mpg on an average drive. Also, it will also stop the confusion for those that tracks their petrol mileage in a strict manner.

The gauge on the dash track your avg mpg since the last reset. It's working as its supposed to. If it says 26mpg thats what you've gotten since the last time you reset it.
