Reluctantly putting my baby up for sale - too many cars, too many projects. I recently bought a Fiat 124 Spider as my autocrosser so need to make room in the garage.
The car is fully prepped for H Street SCCA autocross and is very competitive. My car is early enough that it has the higher rpm limit of the European cars which is a huge advantage on faster courses. Mods consist of Koni Sport adjustable shocks, Megan Racing front swaybar (Eibach rear available too - I go back and forth on which works best - only allowed to make one swaybar change, front or rear, for HS). FSWerks Stainless Steel Catback Exhaust, K&N washable air filter, 16x7 Black Aluminum wheels with very good Bridgestone RE71RS tires (at least 75% tread remaining). No recaros, no sunroof.
I just listed it on Cars.com for $12k. A bargain considering what I’ve got in it and that it comes with 3 sets of wheels and tires. I sold the heavy 17” wheels and tires when I bought the car and use 15” wheels / tires for everyday use - I think they look great and result in a huge improvement in the ride quality. The Cooper tires have a ton of tread. Also have a set of mounted Michelin studless snow tires I have barely used (I drive my Jeep when the snow flies). Price is negotiable, especially if you didn’t want the shocks (I can put the original 50k mile shocks back on) and extra wheels.
Car is in great shape and all maintenance is up to date. Recent new battery, brake rotors and pads, coolant, new coolant overflow tank. It does have a salvage title - got totalled by the original owner with sheet metal and radiator damage before a body shop in St George Utah bought it at auction in southern cali and repaired it. I bought it from them. There was no frame damage and it came with a glowing pre-purchase inspection (the mechanic who inspected it said he would buy it if I didn’t).
