Do the low beams stay on when high beams are turned on? 2016

Maybe I've just never paid attention, but am trying to put some LED H1s in the high beams and noticed the low beams stay on when I try to turn the high beams on (which don't work btw. I got some plug and play H1s and I know there's some threads about polarity being reversed, so I think these plug and play ones won't work, I probably need the ones with the wires and the bracket so I can manually switch the wires). Anyway, I know some cars turn them off and some don't and never really paid attention to mine until now and just want to make sure I didn't break anything lol

There's an easy test.. (I don't think they do... they don't in any other car I've driven)...

With your headlights on, pull back on the switch and hold it When you pull back the brights turn on. ... ..Note the brightness level. Now release the lever. If the brightness goes down, that's the low beams turning off.

A much easier test is to turn on the high beams like normal and walk in front of the car...............

But no need they all 4 stay lit.

Yes, I know how to test it lol But like I said I had never paid attention until after I had been messing with the headlights and so unless I have a time machine, there's no way for me to go back in time to test before I had messed with them. Anyway, thanks Steve.

Mine have always stayed on. Euro lights and OEM. I don’t think I’ve ever had a car where they turn off. The fog lights definitely turn off, but not the low beams.
