2J-Racing Cowl Induction Intake

Haha my wife is the same way. She says it sounds like the inside of a rally car in my car lol. So we take her car everywhere except date night and canyon runs.
It isn't that loud in the car if you are used to modded cars. I turn the radio up about half way as well and can't hear any induction or exhaust noise. But I do have a 1000w sub in my car.

Lol, just a good reason to upgrade the stereo

I can drown it out with the radio turned about half way up if that helps any, lol. My car is stupid loud for most, lol. It annoys the crap out of my wife....that's why we take her car on family trips. It doesn't bother me as I've always had loud cars.

With the radio off, can you actually carry a conversation without sort of raising your voice?

It will have to be this weekend for me....I will tell you that Erving at idle, it isn't much louder than other intakes. It's under load and when the turbo is spooling when it's the loudest.

Yeah, I have a question. To get a better understanding of how loud the intake is, how much does the volume on the radio need to be turned up in order to hear the music? I'm not sure how loud a MBRP exhaust is with a downpipe, so maybe the radio comparison might be better for some of us? Thanks!

I have straight pipes and this intake. i have to turn the music up to half way to hear it good. lol
but you dont hear this intake until you give it gas. idle theirs nothing going on.

You probably need to cut some more material out of the cowl.

When I ordered mine, it went out in a batch (ordered at the beginning of the month, shipped yesterday.) So afaik, they're still going out in batches.

Installed mine yesterday. Idk why people think it's so loud? It's not "quiet" but it's not blow your face and ear drums out loud. Personally, I think it could be louder.... But I think the sound levels are perfect. No complaints here and I love the sounds it produces and translates. I'm happy.

Disclosure: I am used to dailying a mid-engine Porsche with zero interior or sound deadening. Now that was LOUD AF. You could not hold a conversation in the Porsche but you can definitely hold a conversation with this intake.

I don't have any datalogs or dyno's to prove this claim, so be gentle, but blipping the throttle while/between downshifts, it has a much better response to make the revs pop up.
