How in the hades can seafoam kill a turbo? Really think about it. Are these special turbos? I've used it in rx7's and dsm's.
The thought is the the seamfoan loosens the build up and that in turns goes through the turbo.
This video and his second one give a good idea of the 2.0 issues and he states something about turbo failures after seafoam treatment.. Not saying it will happen all the time just making others aware ir COULD happen.. best to have all the issues in from of you so as not to be bit in the butt later .. LOL

We could run a 5th inj system off of a simple 03-04 GSXR1000 power commander. I have used this setup on SRT and VW stuff for years now. The only draw back is its not discreet and would be a pain for anyone wanting to retain warranty. The power commander can be used as a full fuel standalone for the 5th inj completely separate from the stock ecu.

Squirrl that's prob what Alex is using (more or less)

I meant using seafoam with the intake off to keep soak and clean each cylinder one by one, then vacuum it all out, then rotate the crank and move to the next cylinder ( or other two should I say since 2 cylinders will be the same ).

yes that way would not be a issue for the Foam of the Sea (silly name) anything else that would remove the build up chemically ??

With Sea Foam or if another even better product can be used if you combined scrapping off as much as possible and vacuuming it out first, then swabbing on the sea foam to control where it goes, how much goes, more scrapping when wet, swab it out, you could ensure very little went into the combustion chambers.

Shop vac and a hard-walled flex straw :)
I'm sure someone makes a flexable wire think that looks like a fox tail that we could use to agitate the seafoam around the valves while they are closed.

I think these guys dont really see or know what is going on. What there doing to things like seals, Valve guides, valve stems, valve seats, and what ever else gets lose and goes through the engine. Also with no more fuel to lubricate the valve and seats manufactures are doing and allowing other things to happen to band aid issues like valve seat erosion. PCV and Oil vapors are a very big deal with the manufactures but in the long run it will be up to use to have proper maintenance when they do implement systems like the PCV filters that some companies are using now.

I usually run it through the engine while its running. If you never give the carbon a chance to build up it shouldnt be a problem.

I don't see how there would be any harm in running the sea foam into the intake via the pcv hose in a slowly poured dose, then let it sit for 10-15 minutes and the taking it for a spin right before each oil change. Just like in replies before, it shouldn't be an issue if the build up is never really allowed to happen.

One thing people need to be aware of is how the piston rings seal against the cylinder wall during engine operation.
Combustion pressure forces the rings down onto the ring lands and then out against the bore. Any foreign material that enters the cylinder gets force into the ring grooves and ends up stuck there.
As someone with a mechanical back ground, I would not run any of these cleaning solutions though a engine.
