Itll sound like crap, personal opinion at least.

Better off waiting until you can purchase the exhaust you want.

This. I deleted my resonator and muffler. I wish I had saved the little bit that cost and put towards a good exhaust.

À question for those of you that got à fswerks exhaust. Doe's it craqule and pop à bit on decel and does it drone ? Thanks. .
It will pop and crackle but it won't drone to much at all. I love mine. I will film it soon for you.

Looking into the Mountune CBE system. Like the look and the sound. Stupid question: anyone have issues with their warranty in relation to an aftermarket exhaust system. My dealer cautioned me that any issues with the turbo could be linked back to the exhaust if you have an after-market system. Sounded a bit like a threat to me. Does the Mountune CBE preserve the factory warranty like some of their other products do? The European website states that it doesn't impact the warranty but I'm in a North American market. I'm naive, I'm sorry...

I believe all mountune products preserve the warranty if installed by a certified shop or a ford dealer I believe I don't know the details, Aloha LOL

Searched and read about 70 pages, but seems I'm the only one with this issue.
About 1,000 miles ago I installed the COBB CBE. I chose it based on exterior sound videos and the fact that everyone seems to agree it's drone free. When I'm cruising at 75-80 during my daily commute at light throttle, I'm getting an annoying drone that is borderline too much for me. It's enough resonance to spin inner ear fluid. I looked under the car today and everything is free of the chassis and all the flanges are aligned.
I did install the poly hangers as I read a lot of people were having movement issues with the stock ones.
Could the polyurethane be transmitting too much resonance into the chassis?
Do I just need to give it some time to break-in and quiet down?
It is more than likely because you are "cruising" at 75-80 mph. While this may be the norm for cruising where you live, that speed is actually higher than what the manufacturers consider cruising speed. Most, if not all, manufacturers do their cruising speed tests at 70 mph. So, given that you are traveling faster, and thus, at a higher rpm, this is most likely why you are experiencing drone on an otherwise quiet exhaust system.

À question for those of you that got à fswerks exhaust. Doe's it craqule and pop à bit on decel and does it drone ? Thanks. .
It drones, but it's a lot more audible throughout the entire rpm range. As I tell anyone who is interested in it, it is the loudest, most race-car-ish exhaust out there for the FiST.

For anyone out there looking to have a simple, bolt-on straight-pipe exhaust (I.e. No mufflers or catalytics) then FS Werks is the easiest way to go that route. You can easily unbolt the muffler section and bolt up a through-pipe in its place and BAM....race-car exhaust.

Save yourself the trouble and either buy a cat-back exhaust or don't do it at all. It isn't worth the trouble to bolt on a measly axle-back.

on a recent podcast i listened to with the guy running mountune usa. All that needs to happen is the part needs to be installed at an ASE certified facility by an ASE certified mechanic.

It doesnt even need to be a ford dealership anymore.

Very happy with my setup(see sig). Just finished it up today and did some extensive road testing afterwards. It actually drones LESS now than before. Before with stock downpipe and manifold and cp-e catback 2-3k range in the rpms was not the greatest. This car is my wife's daily driver and she approves of it. The car is a whole different animal at half to full throttle but is amazingly docile and quiet when cruising. I can even hear the stereo better on the interstate.

I have a short drive-by vid and hope to post more soon. I plan on taking video from inside the car and on the outside near the exhaust. I hope to have those either tomorrow or next weekend, depending on how things go.

Took a video from inside the cabin today.

w/ with ceramic coated Pumaspeed quickspool manifold
Stage 3 Cobb OTS tune atm, custom tuning soon.

8m 15sec into the video is the good stuff, pull from 2nd to 4th.
I am cruising on the interstate at about 78mph in the first part of the video. Then I cruise between 55-63mph once I get off the interstate.

All of these sounds pretty good, but which one of these would provide the most hp/torque?

Got a great deal on the Mountune exhaust over the holiday. Arrived today and looking to have it installed tomorrow. Would do it myself but too cold out. Had ordered some Cobb hangers about a month ago and only 3 come in the set. Most systems have 4 hanger spots. Which 3 spots on the exhaust are people using to place their hangers?

I used them on the rear 3 with a 3" exhaust and have no issues. I think Mountune is 2.5"? Should be fine...
