based on majority who bought MBRP, it is very droney
Ah so its not from personal experience?

I'll report back if I get any drone currently going good for 2 weeks. Maybe once I install my Cobb RMM it'll get droney. But wouldn't give up the deep tone, pops and crackles for anything.

I love my mbrp. It's a bit drones but nothing compared to a lot of cars I've had. With the windows down cruising at 80 when it drones I can't hear it. But windows up I can, not too terrible though.

If a guy wanted a $500-600 exhaust whats the word? Save more money and pony up for a COBB?

Im looking for little to no drone, i dont want a weed wacker like noise, and cheap is better.

Seems Cobb Is top dog, MBRP has drone save for a few and I see few others posted up. I looked or thought about 2j's or magnaflows exhausts too

Looks like FSWerks is more up your alley.

I'm thinking this is what I'll get when it's time.

Mountune is on par with Cobb ($739 vs $745)
There is also Borla for around the same price ($738 via mod bargains)

Check with Jurrian ModBargains to see what kind of discount you can get for the Cobb. Might well drop it into your range.

I can't post the price publicly, but yes I do have COBB specials, you'll just need to send me a PM but it is a very good discount that I have for you guys :)

From what I gather it does burble and crackle and pop when combined with their Catted down pipe. I'll be going stage 3 through them in the next month or so. I've basically given up being really competitive in auto cross. So I'll just make my car the way I want and drive on the course/or track for fun and personal benefit rather than holding back mods to stay in a particular class. Seat time is all that matters to me not winning. :)

Can anyone chime in on how much louder the Catted DP is with the Cobb or even catless DP is over just the catback? Still my daily don't want an annoying city drive. (Mostly city miles in HI)

So I ordered the Injen exhaust from ModBargains on July 1st and it finally arrived yesterday, I was informed that Injen had to put it together and drop-ship it to me as ModBargains didn't have one in stock at the time (even though their website said it was). I got it with the raw tip which looks much better than the rolled blue tip to me personally, my only issue (and I should have put this together from the picture on their website) is that the inlet side that connects to the downpipe is necked down to a 2.25" inner diameter. ModBargain's site clearly says it's a 3" exhaust, so this was a bit disappointing when I busted out the tape measure and discovered this. Anyway, I'm not planning on going with a bigger turbo for some time (if at all) so I doubt this will have much impact on the amount of exhaust flow from the stock turbo. I am pairing it up with my Mountune down-pipe (which has a 2.5" outlet) and putting it all in next weekend, just figured I'd point this out to anyone who may be considering one for themselves. I imagine they do this to better pair it with the stock down-pipe, much the same way that MBRP did with their exhaust.

Here's the shot from their website so you can see what I'm talking about:

The price for the MRT is wrong. It's 699 on their site now.

Also, is a better video for the Cobb exhaust.

Perhaps message Modbargains on here and have them note on their website that it is not a full 3" catback. I was aware of this quite some time ago i believe through the forum here, i always check up on anything prior to purchasing in case the vendor may show it differently on their website.

Sorry that it was exactly what you wanted and took a little bit of time, my experience with Modbargains was almost as easy as walking into a local vendor. Painless, quick and exactly as advertised.

Any tips on adjusting an exhaust post-install? Jacking it back up tomorrow to fix the vibration of my Injen cat-back, it's literally sitting on top of the frame brace in the middle of the underside, I'm not quite sure how to adjust it as this is the first exhaust I've ever swapped out, I have the Cobb hangers and it's almost as if the flange where the cat-back connects to the downpipe is too long or at too much of an angle and is making it sit right on top of the frame brace. For what it's worth I installed both my Mountune downpipe and Injen exhaust last weekend. It doesn't look like there is any play at all with the downpipe as it's fairly well bolted down but I should be able to adjust the cat-back piping.

I imagine since it's been on for a few days and a couple hundred miles that it should be nice and settled now, should I just unbolt everything and try to push the middle pipe as far up (towards the top of the car) as I can before bolting everything again?

Ehh it's all good, while true they should not advertise it as a full 3" from tip to tip, a lot of other manufacturers do this too. Anyway, it sounds great!

Though I would share ... This started as a 3" Mbrp exhaust , then added a 3" thermal r&d muffler to the rear the annoying drone went away ... Then eventually got bored and did a muffler delete so just straight pipe only .... It was fun while it lasted but wayyyy to loud for abvious reason ... So went ahead and bought this 3" vibrant ultra quiet resonator which the quality is amazing and hear these results ... I'm defiantly happy with the outcome ... The cars sound really changed for the best ...

3" vibrant SS ultra quiet resonator straight pipe with mbrp dual tips
