I got the MBRP kit put on last weekend. I think I'll be buying something else pretty soon. This exhaust resonates really bad and I'm pretty sure 3" piping is entirely too much for the needs of this car.

Might pick up the Mountune, but the goal of buying an exhaust was to not have chamber at the back because it interferes with the trailer hitch. The mountune rear chamber looks to be smaller than stock though, so maybe it will work with minimal tapping with a bit of drop in the hangers.
3" has got to be overkill, especially with a 2.5 neck down (or 2.25 can't recall).

Not to question your installation, but my mbrp droned so bad I was terrified it sounded like a fart cannon, inside cabin was very droney.
I checked and it was making contact slightly with the little protective plate thing they have you remove and replace. I moved it around a tad bit to free it up and my drone went down to almost none, and now I can hear the gurgly pops and noises it makes on decel and rev match instead of drone.

Again, not trying to question you. I'm no mechanic. There is a degree of drone compared to stock for sure, but if it's just unbelievably loud it might be touching the car somewhere.

Where about do you get resonation with your mbrp? Thinking about getting an exhaust and do, thoughts on your setup? .... Just curious :) gotta do some homework ( daily driver, want sound but not resonance between 2500 & 3000 rpm, or 1500 to 2000 less so on the range)

I didn't think about this. I had a mechanic install it. Maybe this weekend I'll get under there and double check their work.

It resonates from about 2800-3200. It's pretty bad for me because my commute spends alot of time around 80mph, which is right at 3000rpm in 6th, so every time I let off the gas it drones. Its not as bad in 6th though (less load on engine), 3rd gear is probably the times that annoy me most.

Mine does from 2800 to 3200 too probably, I will pay more attention when I drive home.

This may be the difference in our drones after all, because I don't have a long commute. Lots of shifting around for me, city driving is pretty quiet unless you just wanna get on it. When I go 65-70 in 6th it's quiet but I haven't really tried 3k rpm for extended periods of time.

I got the Mountune exhaust put on over the weekend. Its pretty docile and seems to be pretty close to stock, maybe a bit louder. I didn't get a chance to compare them one after another because I went Stock>MBRP>Mountune. Overall though it feels like a very well made exhaust and the tips are fantastic looking.

Going from the mbrp to the Mountune it would seem quiet. But going from stock to the Mountune like I did, it's loud. Not overly loud but certainly louder than stock.

Sounds like the cobb exhaust, at least I think. Loud when you want and overall quiet other times. With was exactly what I was looking for. Sounds good man.

Yeah I really like the way it sounds. Good overall note, doesn't drone at all. It's basically setup the same way as the Cobb kit, hence the similar sound.

It's build quality is also fantastic. Great looking welds and the polished bits are perfectly polished. The Mountune Laser engraving is a nice touch as well. Really not a bad price when I picked it up for $650 shipped.

That's what I paid for my cobb exhaust also with the mod bargains discount. I love mine also, sounds like you can't go wrong with either one.
