I would like to hear those interior clips. I was going to do a sounds delete kit because I want to hear the exhaust. Do you feel like the sound symposer interferes with the exhaust note at all?

And it was a hell of a deal. I was going to wait until the Spring but even if Cobb does a Memorial Day sale it won't be as great as a deal as I got from ModBargains. Last deal Cobb had was 5% off. So I wasn't holding my breath. No offense to Cobb, I get they're a company and can't give TOO much of a discount. But I'm happy ModBargains did their sale when they did. Just sped up the process a little bit. Ha.
Turns out I am a lazy shit so it should be up tomorrow sometime in the afternoon Central time. I have to redo the interior and exterior sound clip. The interior wasn't so bad, but it doesn't give you a good idea of how it would truly be to drive with it everyday. That and some fools in front of me were hitting the brakes hard without notice for their turn so I had a moment or two where It got a little odd.

I'm gonna do it again but this time with the camera focused more on the gauges so you can see what is going on speed and rev wise.

Here you go guys.
I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I'M DOING BUT IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING.

(I look homeless in this video)

I have one other video that captures the sound a lot better, but the issue here is that the video is about a good second and a half behind the sound. So if you guys want me to upload it please tell me and I can do that just for you guys.
Otherwise I'll keep it to me...my voice isn't made for TV.

I also just installed the Injen CAI shortly after the videos were made. So that means some more videos are to be out soon. My goodness, I will tell you that the new sounds I am hearing are insane. I nearly pissed myself at how amazing it was.

Bought and installed my MBRP exhaust and couldn't be happier with the way it sounds!
Does the MBRP drone bad at like 65-85MPH? Like long freeway trips. I travel freeway alot and dont want to be droned out of my car.

I have no doubt that the drone on that exhaust is deafening. Probably much worse than i had with my 2jr cbe especially in 6th from 3-4k rpm.

I don't have any drone until 80 when it becomes slightly noticeable. Keep in mind that I have the Cyborg, ported manifold, and catless DP. YMMV.

There's some drone as others have mentioned from 3 to 4k but at highway speed I really don't notice it. To me it sounds prefect but as with all exhaust to each their own. Took me 3 exhaust on my vr6 turbo build to finally go with a gutted cat and no exhaust lol.

If yoy never plain on leaving the stock turbo, I'd recommend a 3" Catless DP with 2.5" exhaust with a resonator and muffler. I have a custom 3" with no resonator and a flow master 50-series ( supposed to be pretty quiet ), and its too loud for me. The upgraded turbo made it a little better sounding, but its still to "buzz-y" for me. And unless your upgrading the turbo, a 2.5" catback is fine.

No custom exhaust, you would have to cut a hole in your bumper. It is your car but i would heavily suggest you dont do this.

And 3.5 inch is overkill, 3 inch is almost overkill. Some of the faster Supra and Skylines making upwards of 1200HP only run 3.5" turbo back's and they have ALOT more exhaust to relieve themselves of. The AMS Alpha 16 GTR making 1800HP only uses about a 3.75" exhaust (94mm*).

Stick with 2.5 or 3" and you will be just fine.

I have the MBRP now with the 2JR race downpipe. Drone is minimal until around 3000 rpm or around 80 on the highway. Even then, it's not bad drone. If you have ever driven a fox mustang with 3.73+ gears and 2 chamber flowmasters and no cats...then you will know drone. I traded exhaust with _RED_ a couple weeks ago, my Borla for his MBRP, and before I installed the MBRP, I smoothed, ported and polished out the inside edges of the inlet to the MBRP system where it mounted to the 2JR downpipe. I did this to smooth out the flow where the 3" 2JR downpipe transitions to the inlet to the MBRP. I really like the sound of this setup...deep and has a slightly hollow sounding resonance to it. The turbo spool sounds fantastic. Sure it is loud, but that's to be expected.

The butt dyno and est torque on the Accessport says yes...at least in torque, but I haven't vdynoed or dynoed it yet. So, idk. Any assumption would be misleading, lol.

I dont plan on upgrading till I go bigger. The Borla/FRPP is just to awesome.

No doubt...the Borla is a great exhaust. I love the way it sounds and the build quality is outstanding. I simply wanted more sound and more turbo spool sound. Any gains from the MBRP being slightly more free flowing is an extra benefit :).

Ok after reading this i think im gonna go MBRP. How loud is it compared to the mustang ? I just came out of a 96 gt with 11:1 compression off road x pipe and dumped mac mufflers. I dont want anything near that loud for a dd again. But i want my FiST to sound angry lol.
