I think our motors are built in the UK and shipped completed to Mexico to mate to the chassis
Lol. I know. I was joking. I wish it was built in mexico... I'm biased though. Guess where the srt4 (and its motor) was built... Lol

I would be very happy with 250WHP and a nice torque curve as have had a similar weight FWD that way and it was great fun but I always wanted a bit more. For this car my goal was 275-300WHP but am working with the modded stock turbo and I know not getting there but some of the tunes where dang fun, right now it is getting a real serious tune on 91 as a base line for an E30 tune so I will see how it goes. If not enough then will do an EFR 6258 and it will be more than enough.

300WHP would be more than enough for some instances so I would have the tune setup to help deal with that like less boost in 1st and second at lower RPMs, etc......
250 seems like a good goal, my goal is to hit 10:1 P:W, so if I can get to 260 whp with some bolt-ons and (maybe) turbo upgrade, I can easily get the car down to 2600 with wheels, brakes, and some CF parts.

Not that I wouldn't mind 300+ :)

I think you can hit close to 2600, if the real base weight is 2720, with just wheels, tires, brakes and coilovers and spare tire delete and carry a patch kit.

There are other smaller things to take off like the engine pulling(dropping into the car factory) parts, engine cover, smaller battery, far less costly than some CF stuff which I have had plenty of.

If you can live without a rear seat it weights quite a bit so a nice savings there....

I am taking out all I can, moving things around, putting in an Alumalite rear floor and doggy setup, rear battery and washer bottle, I am hoping to be at 2550 when all done including sound deadening and audiophile stereo(modular so I can take most out for the track).

By the weight I pulled the upper seat probally weighed 50 at least. I saw somewhere it was 65 all told just for the seats. Then you have a full size spare.

Yea, the spare and tools came out the day I brought the car home. It's literally the first thing I do on all my cars.

I'd be surprised if the rear seat bottom and back weigh 50lbs together. Evo 8/9 rear seat bottom/back weigh 25lbs together with mounts but it isn't a Ford I guess. Evo 10 is around 38lbs or so and the rear seats are way bigger than the Fiesta.

I have it on a list somewhere but need to straighten out my files as lately been throwing things in and a bit messed up. They are pretty heave due to the folding mechanisms and then add in the 3 seat belts, seems it may of been around 65 lbs.

The seat bottom is maybe 10 lbs but the seat back is very heavy and i am betting 50 lbs is close and they are not that hard to get out I do it sometimes when I AutoX. I thought Joe from 2J took his out when he got the lil green skittle and it with the spare was close to 100 lbs so 50 is within the margin of error :)

How do you take out the seat back?
