Well.... I took 3 videos with a go-pro to try and help show some detail to the port work as I was doing it......

I promptly deleted them from my go-pro after I thought they transferred to my laptop... Nice. Good night kids !!!

Cyborg Upgraded Stock Turbocharger System

Well, I need you guys help here... Just to give you guys SOMETHING from the guys out there running these cars, this is a UNFINISHED TUNE. Realize that it's not done. It needs to be fine tuned still and this is one car, one tuner. I'm not free to post or say what the other 2 tuners, and other 3-4 cars are doing so far, but this one I was given permission to share via BronxBomber. But again, just understand the tuner is not done and it's a work in progress. Other tuners could be doing better or worse, and they are also still working on the tunes.

Mods...
Mistumoto air intake and charge pipes.
Cobb direct fit fmic
Catless 3" depot racing and FSworks 2.5" TBE
E30 fuel running 26psi flat across.
21.5psi at 3000rpm, it would make 26psi at 3400rpm ( getting a little throttle closure that is still being tuned out that is reducing peak torque as well ).

Anyway, here is :)

Yes.... That 250whp at 4800rpm, lol
Yes that's 200ft lbs of torque from 2500rpm to.....redline+
Yes that's 250ft lbs of torque from around 2800rpm to 5800rpm.

Great numbers so far. Any reason the weight, tire and gear box is blanked out?
His car was put on a digital scale ( by me ) and he knows his personal weight. Number crunchers crowd up these threads with " was it a full moon ?"; " how many fingers was he holding up behind his back" kind of stuff. So I made it simple and wiped them off. Funny enough, he later told me I had his weight off by 10lbs too light, but I'm not nit-picking, this is just a taste of preview of sorts.

Typically with stuff like this, companies don't post things until the final product is tested, but I wanted to give everyone a bit of a sneak peek. Like I said... 3-4 other guys with 2 different tuners are working with this right now :) to share anything else would be to go against their wishes :)

This is a 3rd gear pull :)

Went to log a new tune yesterday and had ANOTHER boost leak. I am going to become champion boost leaker, not the cred I wanted. This one is proving hard to find too. Anyway, I appreciate SS posting progress tune, I am still working on 93, still working up boost (when its not leaking) and timing. But over 240 whp and 285 wt. And it feels great on street so far.

From the short normal drive I did in Vinny's car to weigh it, it's a lot better to drive. But to be honest, coming from a bit laggy big turbo, I can't be subjective. :)

Kevin, at least your putting in the work. Boost leaks are so extremely common. I used to go over my srt4 with soapy water before a "big weekend". Found even my injector seals leaked boost at 25psi lmao. I was prob even blowing bubbles in the gas tank, lol. Poor srt4.

I'm gonna call it at ~295wtq and 297whp when done.

I'm positive it will do over 300tq if it's not on a leash. We will see on the whp ;)

But no matter what, that is one sick power curve for a 1.6L !! And that's not me bragging, I'm just saying. Imagine 30psi, meth, 2J race intake, DHM race cooler, and 45 degree weather !! Lol.

As it is im traction impaired in 3rd gear unless I'm running the Cobb traction control on an aggressive setting, but that feels unnatural as if your clutch were slipping.

The only problem with the 45*F and below weather is that the traction to USE all of that great, DA increased/cold air chilling the IC power, goes down exponentially, unless one is on warmed up drag slicks. [:(]

But yes, this system so far is well BEYOND merely 'impressive', given how much more is still (safely) on the table!! [thumb]

Though I am selling my car I am seriously considering selling the GT290R setup and going to the C39, it would be the 4th turbo change if I do I can work with a prospective buyer to make it happen if interested as well:)

If the C39 does what it looks like it will do I wish I had one 2+ years ago as it would of saved me a huge amount of money and time.

DAMN GOOD NUMBERS already and I am in agreement with Hijinx, I think it will reach those numbers or very close to it if not so.

Hey Rick I have one coming as soon as I get it installed and a decent tune on it I'll let you drive it so you can check out his newest revision.
