I cant wait to see one on a ported manifold, ported turbo and external waste gate on the new cyborg. I am running all this on the old cyborg and its a blast. If winter and snow tires were not right around the corner, I would absolutely jump on this and order one now. but that much power on snow tires=spinning everywhere and to much money to spend on buying a new set every year. Next year will be the year for sure.
What does the snow have to do with your feet? It's not like the car has an on/off clutch.

If I have all that power, I am not going to NOT use it. I mean, I did the same thing last year with the stock turbo. All the torque on the snow tires, wore them out in 1 season. But who knows. I may change my mind....

I flip maps mid speed anyway. Just let off the gas, clutch in and quick switch map all day long. So I say this because in reference to kill mode and traction. You don't have to engage the kill mode from a dead stand still. And the first 2 gears are virtually worthless anyway tration wise. You can shift to kill mode from a rolling 30 or 65mph on interstate or whatever. That is where I want the kill mode and the 300hp anyways. Dispatching slow cars/trucks or stupid semi drivers on the intestate is my bane in life. I commute. :(

The same with my FoST and that had huge low end TQ, throttle modulation and good tires is all I needed, well some Left Foot Braking with late Apex corners to get around turns of course.

haha. No arguments there. I had a 389WHP SRT swapped first gen neon. That was not fun in the winter. On dedicated snow tires, it still did not want to go anywhere. And any day that did not have snow on the ground. I was having fun, spinning 3rd gear at 70 just because I could. Until I had to buy a second set of snow tires before winter was over because I wore them out. Just don't want to do the same thing this year with the fist. Obviously a BIG power difference, but who doesn't want to use their power when there is no snow on the ground and you have it to use?!??

I would definitely use the quick map switching mentioned above, as well as the Cobb TC/2nd gear torque limiters (IF it could be installed into your tune by YOUR tuner), as well as ONLY 'rolling into' your power band from a roll, and NEVER from a 'dig', as these will help save the soft, very 'tready' winters from chunking/tearing, and wearing out as quickly as doing none of the above, and doing 4000 rev clutch dumps (or no lift power shifts) on winter tires. [wink]

absolutely! I had a blast in that neon, and miss it everyday. Had a half roll cage, 5 point race harness, and everyone always made fun of it because of the roll cage, did I mention FULLY gutted? Like weighed in on the scale with me in it at 2339. Yeah, it was a monster lol.

Yeah, true! Just have to be easy on the tires, we will see how they hold up on my current cyborg and if they are good, I will upgrade to the new one and just say screw it, which honestly. will probably happen anyways.

You will see that pretty soon! Its a DHM Stage 2+ car that will be getting one installed and dyno tuned by us. It does have stock exhaust but i dont see that slowing things down to much!

I can't wait Russell! Interested in the numbers we get. ;)

I've been through a few wind storms ;)
Being in the middle of the state, it's not too bad, but can test your nerves a little. The coast is going to be really destroyed if it follows its forecasted track. But in 34 years, I've learned, the single thing you can count on with hurricanes is that you can never count on knowing where they are going...

Yea, we have supplies, and the truck is gassed up with 93oct ( all the stores are sold out of 87oct ).
I have to be up for work at 6am...

Damn... I forgot the hot fries !!



They were out when I went shopping :(
