I have dropped just the subframes, subframe and engine up front, diff in the rear, all suspesnion still installed, whole chassis, etc on C5 and C6 Vettes, really damn cool but a lift is far better for any of that work. Nice to not have to drain coolers, etc.....
If the AC condenser is not to hard to work loose, I do not recall exactly when I did the DIY radiator upgrade, it might be pretty easy to drop the whole front of the car, coolers attached to radiator support or not, suspension, engine and transaxle...
I recently dropped the subframe to install steering rack bushings, it was pretty easy but getting it back in place by myself working on the floor, sold the lift when I sold the house/shop, was a bit of a pain.
